PO Box 0, Heaven, New Jersey New Jersey? But that's the armpit of America! No way would anybody send their precious virgins down there. Maybe some MILFs, but that's all I can do. Didn't you get the memo? Heaven was relocated to New Jersey. Hell went to New Orleans. (Oh no he didn't!)

I'm a bit ill about this update.... Sakurai has no concern whatsoever about 2nd party stuff. He hates Rare, is reluctant to put up IntSys and somehow even HAL stuff and so on... You see how there's only 2 HAL characters each time huh? He's the type not to put up even his own creation there!
And now we see that again. It's no FE! It's just a generic castle.
Sick.

So he has no interest in including Intelligent Systems content, but for some reason chose the Wario Ware version of Wario to show up in the game, instead of his first-party created purple-and-gold plumper incarnation?
Yeah, whatever you say...

There may be some sence to what you say, but I doubt he's perposly doingg this. Pokemon has a load of representation and is 2nd party. Earthbound had 2 copurses both from normal locals last game.

Not to mention Sakurai's done the generic association thing with first party courses. Look at Hyrule Temple in Melee and Lylat Cruise in Brawl; neither are set in a specific area, and only serve to dig up memories of past games. Personally, I think you're overreacting.

Hell, Castle Peach from the very first SSB was nothing more than a mish-mash of various stage pieces from Super Mario 64, not a specific area.

And let's not forget Flat Zone, either, which is a combination of...what...Oil Panic, Helmet and...? some third one. Sorry, I don't know my Game & Watch titles very well.

Sakurai doesn't hate anyone... he even put two Perfect Dark items in Melee. FE doesn't have many memorable stages for a fighting game like this, and most of them take place in castles.

Speaking of amalgamated stages, anyone think we'll get another amalgamated character a la Mr. Game & Watch? That might be a broad statement, since every character is a mish-mash of various moves, some of which don't belong to them (Ness comes to mind). Aw hell, just about every stage in Melee wasn't based exactly off the location it was said to be in. They're all virtual Frankensteins. This kind of bothers me, because Delfino Plaza and Bridge of Eldin appeared to be on-location, as if the exact make-up of the stage was taken right out of it's respective game. Ah well, so much for that. EDIT: Actually, I just remembered that the background of Onett in Melee was an almost exact copy of the overworld map in Earthbound. Or maybe I'm pushing it. Can anyone clarify?

Mute City was by and large identical to how it appeared in F-Zero X, with only cosmetic changes (such as certain signs reading "SMASH" instead of what they had read before) and the addition of the platforms where you stopped along the course.
Peach's Castle and Great Bay were based on their appearances in SM64 and LoZ:MM, with minor changes to suit the playing environment. (Players were considerably large compared to the castle, and the laboratory was turned sideways rather than facing the beach.)
In SSB64, Hyrule Castle looked identical to the roof of said castle in OoT, while the rooftops in Saffron City were aligned perfectly with skyscrapers in Pokémon RBY.
I think this sort of concept only works for newer games, where levels are given an identity beyond a set of numbers--although it doesn't stop specific areas like Brinstar, Rainbow Ride or Big Blue from getting approximations, either.
