If you do, you would recall that Link was a character in the Gamecube version. The game is made by Namco... get what I'm saying?
This could increase the odds of a Namco character being in SSBB...
I'm not sure if this has been discussed, but it is an interesting point.
Also note Pac-man is a Namco character.

Namco's definitely a top contender, with their support of Nintendo increasing steadily over the years. Mario Kart Arcade, anyone?  |

Tamagotchi for Brawl!
I sure would love it if Pac-Man was there, because he's iconic of video games in general. Too bad the character roster is limited... (won't it be?).

Well, with an unofficial official 40-character cap, and a maximum of four Third Party characters including Snake, the limitation is huge. But I think Namco stands out above all other companies aside from Sega as a massive Nintendo supporter (and you all know my stance on Sonic being in Brawl), so I could easily see Pac-Man getting his chance to star in the spotlight.

Pac-Man is probably the most likely contender, but I think I'd prefer any other Namco character, because Pac-Man sucks.

King of All Cosmos ftw As much as I would love to see some Katamari loving in Smash Brothers, the hook was that the character needed to appear on a Nintendo console. As of yet, Katamari has been on the PS2 and is soon to come onto the XBox 360, but there's nothing outside rumors to say that there'll be a Wii incarnation. |

yeah, well, he's in several pictures in the DS Machigai Museum games! take THAT!
(I know it's impossible, but I CAN DREAM. ;w; on a more serious note, I'd also accept Dig-Dug, Klonoa, or Susumu from Mr. Driller.)

I think he will put in three (excluding Snake) because that would be a good number so crybabies fanboys don't complain, and everyone else will be very happy. The most likely candidates are Sonic, Mega-Man, and Pac-Man. These are the mascots for their company (basically). |
