This makes sense and is exciting. We might confirm it in the next couple of hours. The best Miyamoto gift would be to make him playable... However at that time I won't want to know anything about the unlockable characters not revealed at that point. But I'm sure they're preparing that level of surprises for us

Looks like the guy at Smash Bros. MOJO heard the theory and gave us his spin on it

It'll be a "hey, you can crawl now! I bet SOMEBODY wink wink can use that pretty well..." type thing. nothing major, because Snake's a secret fighter

The theory isn't debunked. Only the GUESS that we might get MGS info on Kojima's birthday has been debunked. He's still provided special updates for his own and Kazumi Totaka's birthdays.

Shigeru Miyamoto as a playable character in Brawl??? Ugh, no thanks. Sakurai said no real-life people.

Shiggy's b-day may net us Luigi or something. I can see Sakurai revealing the more obvious secret characters before release but that close it.

Hmm... I guess Snake is hidden. Perhaps Meta too.
That's why we are seein new challengers rather than all the original 5 revealed.
We'll see in a matter of days, when it's Satoshi's birthday... (Hmm... "Satoshi"... Too bad we have Pkmn Trainer already, or we could use Ash based on the anime (rather than game) instead... but then, will we still call him a game character? ...Yeah, Pkmn Puz League, huh?)

Nah, we might get a Pokemon update of some description. Name me one good reason that the Pokemon Stadium stage hasn't been officially unveiled, eh?
*hopes for a stage transformation based on every Pokemon type, rather than just 3...*

I suppose revealing a Super Mario Galaxy stage in November would be too spoiling, but that's the kind of major update Miyamoto's birthday would deserve.

Nah, we might get a Pokemon update of some description. Name me one good reason that the Pokemon Stadium stage hasn't been officially unveiled, eh? *hopes for a stage transformation based on every Pokemon type, rather than just 3...* My creative juices are now flowing... Normal -- Basic Stadium Water -- Fountain in the center, platforms on water spouts, veil of water on floor Fire -- Fire spouts appear in floor, center of stage becomes a large volcano Grass -- Stage covered in grass, trees in background to stand on Electric -- Stage gets short electrified fence around perimeter, large generators on either side shock players who hit them Ice -- Stage becomes slippery with ice, smashable ice sculptures appear Ground -- Stage becomes a desert with a sandstorm veiling the players, pitfalls randomly appear, platforms break apart Rock -- Stage becomes craggy, stalagmites appear all over Steel -- Platforms are magnetic and push and pull each other in various directions, stage appears chrome, spikes guard the edges Psychic -- Platforms move in circles, project a bubble that protects player if they stand on them, central platform protected by bubble that slightly resists returning players, gravity decreased inside larger bubble Dark -- Stage becomes dimly lit, pulls apart in two pieces Bug -- Spiderwebs appear diagonally on sides of arena to catch players, floor covered in leaves that may have pitfalls, platforms attached by Brinstar-like tentacles that can break Ghost -- Platform outlines glow, rest turns invisible (think Sabrina's Gym in Pokemon Stadium 2 [US]), floating platforms phase in and out of existence Poison -- Similar to Water, except now it is sludge that pours from a drain, pushes players off edges, floating platforms slippery Flying -- Stage floor shrouded in fog, high-gusts blow through pushing players and items away (clearing fog), windmills appear in background Fighting -- Takes on style of a dojo with a raised mat in center of stage, sandbags dangle from floating platforms Dragon -- Stage turns to rock with see-through center, epic pillars appear around stage, platforms move sideways in a three tier pattern, tornadoes randomly appear to blow players around

Name me one good reason that the Pokemon Stadium stage hasn't been officially unveiled, eh? I guess it's just like why Meta isn't unveiled officially as of now... So if you can think of a reason for Meta, it goes here too. If not, you stink. ....That, or Fry is right. We'll see.

Well... yes... my theory was that he's saving it up for Satoshi Tajiri's birthday update. Did you not get that from my post?
