Down Special Move: F.L.U.D.D.It appears Mario has a new special move! It’s F.L.U.D.D.He really is carrying F.L.U.D.D. on his back!Tilt the Control Stick down and press the B Button to charge up...Hose ‘em down! Blast those enemies away.It does absolutely no damage – it’s just for sending opponents great distances. You can even charge it up while shielding. It’s best used in critical moments.
Huh? What happened to the down special move he’s had up until now – the Mario Tornado? He still seems to have this move, though. Eh? Is it a normal attack?!

Interesting. Luigi is so going to have the Poltergust(sp?).

Wow! 2x much of fun! Why is Sakurai doing two updates more often. Soon he might even do three!

I like its effect. If this does not do any damage, then maybe his Side Special Move will become a damaging move. I guess several Special Moves that have not been revealed for confirmed characters are having this degree of change. This game is having much Isle Delfino flavor . I wonder what's next regarding Super Mario Sunshine.

That is a good point. It also limits the chances of Proffesor E. Gadd being in SSBB.
This is a pretty interesting update. The only I don't understand is why is Mario holding the FLUDD the way he does in the second and third images. I can't rememeber him doing something like that in SMS.

What is this stage? It looks like Rumble Falls. But a Waterwheel?

^ Yeah it would be Rumble Falls, I can see a giant vine/beanstalk in the background to the left that I think was in some earlier Rumble Falls images.

I said wow. I wasn't expecting any change to the veterans, but especially not Mario. I like it, though - if for no other reasons than to annoy the Sunshine haters.
As for the Mario tornado, he appears to be using it in the air - maybe a new type of special that only activates when airborn? Or maybe his b-up now has elements of the tornado as well.
All in all, very cool - when I saw it was 'Mario's Specials' I had no idea it would have brought this much of a post.

I imagine F.L.U.D.D. will be useful to knock opponents of the platform, even if it doesn't do any damage. It's a very interesting change.

I'm not pleased about the fact that the FLUDD doesn't do any damage, but I am pleased that his B-down move wasn't the Mario Tornado again. I mean, who actually uses that move anyway?

Think he will hover with the FLUDD?

So strange. This pretty much screams Luigi is going to have the Poltergust to do the exact opposite: pull opponents in. It's kinda funny, when you think about it, how much these characters have changed since Melee (the whole run of the Gamecube and GBA, and most of the DS lifespan, not to mention some Wii exposure). Link and Mario have some funky changes; who else does?
...Zelda changed appearance, people figure she could lose Sheik. ...Peach changed appearance, she may use Vibes ...Bowser is pretty much the same. Bigger, maybe ...Fox changed appearance, pretty much the same ...Samus gained Zero Suit Samus as a transformation ...Ness could very well become Lucas ...Yoshi changed appearance, is getting a legit third jump ...DK changed appearance, is pretty much the same ...Kirby and Pikachu did not change at all
When and if Falcon and the Ice Climbers return, how much will they have changed? Captain Falcon, like Meta Knight, has had a loooong time to be revealed

...DK changed appearance, is pretty much the same ...Kirby and Pikachu did not change at all Just 5 hours ago we would have said 'Mario has not changed at all', so how can we be sure of Kirby, Pikachu, DK, Fox, Bowser and whoever else? And didn't Bowser have "a different flavour this time"?
