Just 5 hours ago we would have said 'Mario has not changed at all', so how can we be sure of Kirby, Pikachu, DK, Fox, Bowser and whoever else? 20 years from now we'll look back and remember the fated day the Down+B Mario Tornado died. We'll never forget where we were or what we were doing either.

I'm not pleased about the fact that the FLUDD doesn't do any damage, but I am pleased that his B-down move wasn't the Mario Tornado again. I mean, who actually uses that move anyway? I use that move. But, I agree that the fludd doing no damage sucks. There is probobly potential in it. Knocking foes back. Keeping tyhem, off the platform maybe. Also, think the tornado is his basic A, but I could be wrong.

Maybe the Up+B punch has been replaced by a DK-style tornado recovery. I hope not...
Kind of happy to see the FLUDD make an appearance, now all we need is the Haiiwan Shirt and Sunglasses as a costume!

Mario's new Down+B tells me a lot... A) Luigi is SO gonna have the Poltergust 3000... It will work the COMPLETE opposite of the FLUDD in that it sucks opponents into Luigi's range so he can combo them, instead of Mario spraying them away. B) If we lost MARIO'S Down+B, then what hope does Zelda's Down+B have. Bye Bye Sheik. It was nice knowing you. C) Ganondorf and Falco will have different moves now. ;D D) Dr. Mario has a slightly increased chance now, as he could have a different Final Smash AND Down+B from Mario, making him less of a clone.

I still think Dr.Mario has little to no chance of getting into Brawl. Maybe as a costume.
@ Spud - Oh yea, well I guess maybe it is an A move like Smashchu says. Aerial Down+A?

I was under the assumption that either A) They added something like "Backward Specials" or "Aerial Specials" or B) FLUDD only works on the ground and pressing vB in mid-air will activate the Mario Tornado.

I think option A has already been disproven by this update. And I doubt option B. I really think it's just his regular down aerial attack now, and other characters now have similar midair combo attacks.

I wonder, do you press B + down to use the FLUDD?

C) Ganondorf and Falco will have different moves now. ;D They already do. Quite different, in fact. And TVeye: Tilt the Control Stick down and press the B Button to charge up...

Given the number of drastic changes to the formula from Melee, I'm wondering if it would be a smarter decision to not use Melee as the template for this game quality standards. Brawl seems like an alternate sequel of sorts, venturing down a different conceptual path than Melee from the original Smash Bros.

I was Just thinking, what would happen if you hit someone with this while they were wavedashing? They would get blown off (if not: close to off) the level wouldn't they?
