KC, my thoughts exactly. I don't think the names are any indication of whether they're rips or remixes. I imagine the names are there for where the title could easily be mistaken for another game "main theme", "title theme" and so on.
Don't forget, by collecting CDs you can no doubt add to each of these lists. Here's hoping, anyways! ;D

I never said this but this is an aqwesome update. Strange as I was thinking about a music update before I saw this.
I think the CD you get, ansd what music it has, depends on where your at. Defino Island will give you Mario tune. But, it makes me wonder; most franchises will have two or more courses. Will all the songs overlap, a few, or none at all.

This has seriously made my day. I have been on an unbelievable high, and it's not from the ungodly amount of whippits I've been doing (*huff* what?)
I'm just ecstatic LttP FINALLY got some Smash recognition. It was the Mario 3 of the Zelda franchise, and it's about time SOMEBODY at Nintendo realized it had a steady fanbase (on that topic, has anybody noticed how it wasn't until recently that Nintendo started actually putting legit Mario 3 cameos into Mario spinoff games? That bugged me for a looong time)

The update didn't "make my day", mostly becuase promplty after looking at the update I had to do an online assinment for school. Man that took forever. Of course, I enjoy music updates so it's OK.
Thinking on it, best fucking idea in a long time. I mean, there is just so many tunes to use. Even in Melee they had courses with two songs. So, what did they dio. Complile them all and make a custom music player. Sakurai, you are a genius.
Of course, I'm not "OMWG"(see what I did there?) for Dark World music. But, I must say that a arrangment for it would just be freakin' awesome.
