I figure it's better to ask this here and now in order to gauge my audience--rather than waiting until the very last minute.
As suggested earlier in a topic, people who are concerned about SSBB spoilers may still need help unlocking certain characters, stages, etc. I volunteered to write this FAQ, so what I've got to do is see who, exactly, is interested--I want to know who I'm writing for.
The concept--what I'm going to take, anyway--is write the FAQ using only information that you would know if you first turned the game on. You'll be given the starting roster and levels, and that's it. All other information will be handed out in a mask of anonymity. I'll use unlocking Luigi in Melee for example; rather than say "Beat the Mushroom Kingdom level in Adventure Mode with a "2" in the seconds slot of the clock, then clear Adventure Mode within a certain amount of time to unlock Luigi" it would be something like, "Beat PART 1 of SINGLE PLAYER MODE A with a '2' in the seconds slot on the clock. Clear SINGLE PLAYER MODE A within a certain amount of time to unlock HIDDEN CHARACTER 1." That's just a rough example off the top of my head; I promise the real thing will be much neater.
Right now, obviously, there's not a lot I can write about, given how much information we don't have. But with a few months left to go (and for me they're flying by pretty quick--it might seem early yet to some of you, but I don't have a lot of time for myself these days), I'm interested on hearing who would be interested in using the FAQ.
When the time comes to unleash the FAQ, I'll send each person who signs up for a copy a private message--or, if you'd prefer to avoid the board entirely at the time of release, I can also send you an e-mail. Just PM me your own e-mail addy and I'll keep hold of it. It's imperative that you send me your e-mail address if you plan to not be here! I won't hunt you down if I don't receive an addy.
UPDATE: I have posted a placeholder on the following URL. Said URL is the one where I will be posting the AnonyFAQ upon the game's release, or at least shortly thereafter. I will also send PMs to everyone signed up for the FAQ two weeks before the game's release containing the URL, for the sake of those who plan on not being here in order to avoid spoilers. But for anyone paying attention, bookmark this site now and keep hold of it.
