Starters automatically getting in(?)

I would like to point out something about Sakurai's logic.

Just read on.

Starters in SSB

Mario - In Brawl
Donkey Kong - In Brawl
Fox - In Brawl
Kirby - In Brawl
Link - In Brawl
Pikachu - In Brawl
Samus - In Brawl
Yoshi - In Brawl

Now, I don't think they have shown these next characters yet, because they were unlockables in the original SSB

Unlockables in SSB

Captain Falcon - Not yet shown
Jigglypuff - Not yet shown
Luigi - Not yet shown
Ness - Not yet shown

Then you have melee. Here are the starters in Melee not in the original SSB.

Bowser - In Brawl
Ice Climbers - In Brawl
Peach - In Brawl
Zelda - In Brawl

See what I'm getting at? Anyone who wasn't an unlockable has already been shown.

Just thought I'd share this with everyone, and this is probably an explanation to why more characters might not be shown for awhile.

Yeah, I've been saying this for a while now. it makes me wonder if Falcon and Ness (or whomever represents Mother) will go back to being unlockables.

Well, Ness and Captain Falcon were once unlockable, so they may simply be last added from the "original crew".

I have an idea. Let's look at the order of the SSBM announcement and see if we can't see a pattern.

So you can see he staggered the newcomers and returning characters right up until the game was released. Of course, people knew characters were going to be in before they were added to the site (like Meta-Knight).

Unfortunately, it doesn't really tell us much about the original secret characters who became playable - Ness was announced before Mario!!

Given that he was playable straight away in Melee I doubt it, but you never know. As for new moves, I hope they ditch the Raptor Boost, as that really sucked and has made me SD many times.

Not on the site though. Just in the video.

All the confirmed characters will indeed be starters. (judging by what Fryguy posted)

This just means Solid Snake will be unlockable.

On the old SSBB site--before the weekdaily updates--Snake's profile said he and other 3rd Party characters would be unlockable.
