Will they return? Here are images possibly depicting stage entrances. Could it be Yoshi breaking out of an egg for his entrance? Or him breaking out of his shield, or egg roll attack... Possible Snake entrance? Or also him breaking free from shield. Ice Climbers entrance? Please discuss, or post more images maybe showing stage entrances... I'm hoping they return, as are others I'm sure...

I really want them to return, but I dont think the Snake box thing is an entrance. Down B most likely. On a side note, I dreamed I was playing Melee with Young Link, and he started doing the dance from your sig, which for some reason summoned Homer simpson. What does it mean?

Nothing, becuase dreams are random.
Yeah, maybe, but they can be other things too. We'll have to wait and see.

The Snake one isn't relevant I don't think, since Mario is in the screenshot... obviously spooked or something.
But there is a screenshot of Peach with the parasol over her shoulder. I don't think that animation is used for anything in Melee... so it could be a new animation of some kind or it could be a frame from her introduction. I believe it's from her intro, since we saw in the subspace emisary video... she floats down from a parasol... that's also likely to be her intro as well. There's probably a frame in that introduction where she has it over her shoulder just after she lands. It's likely.
The Ice Climbers seem to be cheering, and their mallets are on the ground... that's almost SOLID proof of them having an intro this time... because what else could it be? But... then there's a screenshot in the "Crates and Barrels" update that has Mario holding a present over Kirby and Pikachu. Kirby and Pikachu seem to be cheering towards Mario too... Kirby is actually facing Mario, not doing his "Hiiiii!" taunt. What could those animations be from? Is there a "cheering" animation for all characters? Or maybe just "cute" ones? I have no idea. Time will tell I guess.

On a side note, I dreamed I was playing Melee with Young Link, and he started doing the dance from your sig, which for some reason summoned Homer simpson. What does it mean? Bart Simpson for Brawl! Neutral B: Spraypaint Up + B: Skateboard Side + B: Throws a tomato or an egg Down + B: Bartman

Well, the Snake one is obviously not an entrance. But if he did have one, that's what it would be, I'm guessing.

It means you need to stop smoking whatever you're smoking. The Snake box thing makes more since for an entrance than a down B move. I mean thats how he entered in the trailer.

In the Wi-Fi update it says you send short messages by taunting either by doing up, down, left and right on the D-Pad. Maybe every (or at least most) characters has mutiple taunts now?

I'm pretty sure Yoshi's just stopped shielding himself in that image. He does a does a little animation when you do that in both melee and the 64 version.

This is certainly a chance, albeit a bit of a long shot. Really, the only one that seems odd is Ice Climbers. And to me, Ice Climbers don't look like a taunt or an entrance - it looks more like a celebration. Maybe instead of having the winner's celebrations (and losers applause) on a new, blank screen, it appears on the level? That would be pretty cool methinks (and could also lend itself to extra cool stuff - like when you win on the Mario Kart stage the Cheep Cheep blimp flies overhead).

That celebration on the stage theory is a good idea. Look at these images below as an example. These don't seem like entrances but they could be a winning pose. Or another idea that just came with right now is. . . In SSBM the characters had 3 winning motions they could do if after they won a match. All the characters in SSBM had 1 taunt by pressing up on the D-Pad. In SSBB the characters send messages by taunting online by pressing one of the 4 directions on the D-Pad. 3 + 1 = 4Maybe the characters celebrations have become the 3 new taunts! EDITI just thought of something else. If you look at the pictures of the IC, Ike and Peach (I think Yoshi could apply too but the camera angle makes it hard to tell) above in this thread you will notice that they are all doing 2 things 1. They are doing an action that has not been seen before. This we all knew. 2. They are all doing that action in the centre of the stageLook at the IC image they are doing that action in the spot which would be the centre part of that stage area. If you look at Ike and Peach in the above images you can really notice it. They are both stand in front of the same portion of the Battlefield stage. (It's in front of a sundial in the background of the stage).
