In a couple of updates, Sakurai said it is rumored and then something, something. Ect: "It is rumored that there will be boss apperancess." I just want to know, is where does he get his rumors? I know he would go searching in that Japenese website where you can say what you want, but he must go on some English Websites. So if we ask enough, we will get it.

It's a figure of speech, though. I could say "rumor says that Fry smells like cheese..."
It was never a rumor, but a fun way to introduce my topic, right?

A figure of speech as well as Sakurai teasing us. Saying "It's rumored that.." is a way of only half-confirming something.
Remember, Sakurai is more or less in charge of the entire game. He'd be the first person to know fact from rumor.

Yes, I'm sure Sakurai often goes searching online to find rumours about the game he's in charge of making.

Not to mention it keeps me awake at night, trying to figure out what he's got up his sleeves for future updates.

Sakurai's rumors often turn out true, if not always.
Sakurai says Lucas could surpass Ness so I am guessing that means Lucas replaced Ness.

or it could mean "Is Lucas stronger than Ness?" possibly implying that you'll be able to let them duke it out and see for yourself.

I got some bad news, Skapon supporters. Here is a quote from Sakurai himself in response of a feedback comment on SSBM (after it's release). " というわけで、ごめんなさいぃぃぃ。 以前の投稿で触れていますが、 もし今後スマブラのシリーズが出ることがあったとしても、 それにスカポンが出てくる可能性は低いです。" Here it is in English (translated using Excite.co.jp's translator): I'm sorry .."... Though it touches by the contribution before Even if the series of Super Smash Bros. will go out in the future, the possibility that Skapon comes out in it is low. " SourceHe didn't give a single reason why Skapon's chance at entering SSBB at least as a sticker is low. Perhaps: |1.| Despite being a simple character to create, Skapon lacks limbs, making it difficult for Sakurai to create him. AND |2.| Joy Mech Fight was released in 1993, which many people already put their NES / Famicom consoles away, and bought their SNES / SFC consoles. However, Joy Mech Fight / Skapon fans still want Skapon. He was mentioned in Sakurai's SSBB poll twice. Also, Rayman, who is similar to Skapon, has his own 3D titles, which probably means he'll say something like "Okay, but if me and my SSBB developers don't finish Skapon on time, then we will make him absent."

And that's what will happen. If Sakurai asks whether Lucas could surpass Ness, it really means Lucas is better than Ness.

Skapon, Sukapon, whatever, he's the pink limbless fighting robot from Joy Mecha Fight, a Famicom fighting game from Japan.

I think that support threads mean nothing. There had been support threads for Samurai Goroh, Deoxys, and Lyn with lots of reasons and movesets to support them and look what happened.
On the other hand, there had been support threads for Lucas, Pokemon Trainer, Squirtle, Ivysaur, and Charizard with lots of arguments against them by the people who oppose them and they still got in.
I think this is just another example of how Sakurai is not interested in making a roster based solely on popularity.

Oops, I accidentally posted a link to the "Characters in Sakurai's SSBB poll" thread. Right now, it now leads to Skapon's support thread by fliptroopa.
