What is Tourney mode?!
This is a mode that determines which player stands victorious on the summit after winning many battles against many foes!
I won’t go into much detail, so just try it out for yourself. Take advantage of its robust tourney-generating functions!Of course, if you don’t have a large number of friends, you may not have much need for a tourney.
Still, we’re working seriously to make this mode fun for even those people.
Actually, you can also play this by yourself against computer opponents, so try it out if you’re so inclined.

It's nice to see the Tournament mode is back but it is only local not online. The image below seems to suggest you can store your name on your Wii Remote and just control with the GCN controller.

It's nice to see the Tournament mode is back but it is only local not online. Where does it say that? I can't see anything that suggests that it is/isn't available online. And does anyone have any idea what the percentages (next to Meta Knight and Snake) stand for in the above image?

I'm guessing those are handicaps.
Since now it's confirmed you can save your name and settings on your Wii remote.... there was no point to that whole last paragraph in the "names" update.
This was kind of a boring update... but I didn't expect much from this week. I expected a slow week.

Its nice to know the tournament mode is back... But no online tournament mode confirmed? Maybe it will be online - maybe that's what Sakurai meant when he said he is going to make this mode fun for those people who don't have a lot of friends?

............this is the Friday update Not a bad update, but come on. Can we get something a bit "new". Stage, or a character would be nice. Something a little more filling then Game Modes you been feeding us.

Yeah, I was expecting something new, too... Even if it was a Pokeball Pokemon or an Assist Trophy (they help us deconfirm characters and spectulate who might be playable).

Yeah, Sakurai, tell me if I can play as Tom Nook or at least a playable AC character. And don't forget to tell me if I can play as Ness or Lucas or whoever is representing Mother this time while you are at it.

I wonder if they'll still allow you to have a tournament with computer players only. I do that sometimes. It's fun to watch and you can pick up some tips if the NPCs are at high levels.

Oh, yeah! That's what I do once in a while when I'm bored and have some time to kill.
