I'm glad you guys are warming up to Snake's inclusion. Metal Gear Solid is a fantastic series... and once you discover it, you realize that Snake isn't just some mercenary... or just another grunt soldier on a mission to save the world from a boring threat.
Nah, there's alot more than that in Metal Gear Solid. Alot of character development, alot of twists (ok... ALOT of twists) and humor.

My only problem is those twist may be the biggest loads in gaming history.

Yeah... eh.... I'm done defending Metal Gear Solid 2's plot.
The first MGS didn't have a dumb twist like that though. (What I mean is, there was no "What a twist!" moment.)
And Raiden didn't make things any easier. MGS2 was pretty good, but it fell apart at the end there. MGS3 was a really good game, and the plot was good too. It seemed to fix up the big mess that was at the end of 3. Unfortunately... it was a prequel, and just helped to clean up the story a bit, but didn't really expand on it much. It had it's own themes and really good storytelling though. And I like how they made fun of Raiden through the whole thing thing.
We would really like to continue the story of Solid Snake though.... so hopefully they get back on track with MGS4.

Looks like a pretty fun stage to be on. Hideo Kojima designed this stage did he not?
The videos were also pretty funny too.

If you want a good summary of the series storyline without any major spoilers, click here. To be fair... that's only a summary of Metal Gear Solid 2's storyline, and only the last part is half true. Metal Gear Solid has a fantastic plot, with loads of brilliant plot twists. Though you need some knowledge of the older games to enjoy it completely, and there's quite a lot of military jargon. It's a fun game, too. Especially after getting the stealth camo. You haven't lived until you've picked up a dead body, dragged it to one of it's still-living comrades, and made it dance in front of them.
