I don't think that's an AT. It looks like Peach, using some sort of ability. Cause whatever Link is attackng, it's not Peach. It looks like he's fighting a bokoblin or something.
You know.. I noticed that the character select screen seems like it is big enough to hold up to 30 character slots. 3 rows and 10 columns. And we already have 21 (I excluded Zero Suit Samus) characters to fill the slots so could there only be 9 more characters uncomfirmed...
The fighters on the stage are Fox and Link. I can see Fox's tail and Link is (obviously) swing his sword. Also you can see there pictures next to there percentages. The figure behind him has to be an AT or a minor character from TP appearing on the bridge. Anyone got ideas on who it could be?

Now that I think about it, Kirby's absence from the character select is obvious. They probably haven't finished Kirby's copy ability. If there's 40-something characters +1 or 2 character transformations (Zamus, possibly Sheik), Kirby needs to be able to copy each one.

The same thing happened with Kirby during the Super Smash Bros. Melee demo, if I am correct...

Wouldn't he only need copy abilities for the ones in the demo for him to be in the demo, though?
It's a random mash up, I agree, but whatever. As long as it lets us see what Meta Knight, Ike, Pit, Diddy Kong, and Sonic are like, I'm content.
And damnit, where are the Japanese with their feedback?! I've heard NOTHING about this demo except "it plays like Melee. Vets are easy to pick up again"
Evie ❤✿: Yeah parts of the game are fun but backtracking can be a nuisance and the Pit of 100 Trials can be challenging or long. I felt similar when replaying Pokémon Colosseum for Mt. Battle for Ho-Oh.

Evie ❤✿: Yeah, similarly certain games I like to 100% other games not as well. I never bothered with 100% completing TTYD.

Evie ❤✿: Some point out the frame rate is 30 fps rather than the GameCube's 60 fps; so that's not everyone's cup of tea.

Evie ❤✿: On the other hand it's nice though if you don't have the game or using your GameCube is inconvenient. I think Nintendo has a lot of older fans like us, but for some people this is a completely new experience.

Evie ❤✿: I found it interesting how they released Super Mario RPG again. I enjoyed it, even though some may say it is a little dated.

Evie ❤✿: Though it's also a bit like.. the presentation of games is changing with the times - sometimes a faithful remake may seem a little out of place (for some).

Evie ❤✿: You still been playing your familiar series like Atelier recently? ^^ Or what new games you played recently? I made a start on Freedom Planet 2 (the sequel to a Sonic-like influenced by China) which only recently came out for Switch.

Evie ❤✿: However, I also started a new file on Super Mario Sunshine and have been enjoying just replaying that.

Evie ❤✿: I think Nester might also be a fan because I think he mentioned Freedom Planet 1 somewhere, and it also popped up on my Switch he was playing Freedom Planet 2.

Evie ❤✿: So far I prefer the original game.

Nester the Lark: Yeah, I've been playing Freedom Planet 2. I like it, but there are some issues. I'll do a post on it eventually. I've finished it with Lilac and Carol so far, and I'm working on a playthrough with Milla. I'll do Neera after that.

Evie ❤✿: Nice. Glad you like it. ^^ Cool, will check it out whenever you do. :] I haven't had the chance to get any momentum on it yet. Also some people may like the 'intermission'-like areas you can explore (similar to Shantae) but 4 me I like just raw levels.
Apr 27, 2024 14:36:27 GMT -5
Nester the Lark: ^ I agree. I don't think the hub areas are that interesting. There's a Classic Mode that just gives you the levels, but you have to unlock it by beating the game once.

nocturnal YL: Interesting find on the Magikarp. I think Pokémon merchandise didn't put emphasis on shinies until recently, so that's rather unexpected.

nocturnal YL: I'm currently playing Atelier Escha & Logy DX, in the final quarter of the game. I tend to focus on one game at any given time, so yeah, I haven't been playing anything else. That long backlog of mine will have to wait even longer.

Nester the Lark: It is kind of funny that I'm on my third playthrough of the newest Fire Emblem game, and YL hasn't even touched it yet.
Apr 28, 2024 15:03:43 GMT -5
nocturnal YL: I'm starting to miss the Arland series again. Not sure if I'm going to a second playthrough of that, though.

nocturnal YL: Of all the rumours on the Switch successor, the only thing I care about right now is whether it runs Switch games better than the original does. Maybe my Switch games will last long enough for the successor to get its own minor upgrade.

nocturnal YL: The story of Atelier Escha & Logy did get better later on. I'm not a fan of the friendship level system in the Rorona-style games, which is the main contributor to my dissatisfaction towards Escha & Logy. It's otherwise pretty good.
