Oh it's just Mew2King, the autistic anti-social smash nerd. That guy's pretty nuts, check out his ridicilous 'faq' for instance. ' I am an EXTREMELY HARDCORE video gamer that plays video games A LOT. I practically never lose and I have WAY too much free time on my hands, so I made this little old site from most of the data I accumulated over my research on these games while I was bored. I'm... well..... bored a lot. Like right now for example, I'm bored. <sigh> Life's boring, just like everything else in existence.
Later, as a career (I'm 16 right now) I plan to become a Video Game Designer, and I KNOW that I will be very good at it, because video games are my ENTIRE life.'

That guy sounds like a huge dick.
Wave dashing to Super Smash Bros is like snaking in Mario Kart. It's cheap and annoying.

You guys should listen to them. These guys know that without supercrazyawesome wavedashing every match is stupid because it can be won by anyone who can use their fingers and there are no other strategies or techniques that give you an advantage in the game at all. In fact just yesterday I lost to a four year old because the game is so simple and random. On her first try she was already a master of shielding and rolling, just like everyone else who plays the game. I've just got to learn wavedashing because losing means I have to give up my dream of becoming a computer programmer who doesn't fix gliches because gliches give depth.

In my experience, anybody who uses the word "metagame" in respect to any videogame is possibly insane, maybe a little unhinged, and definitely taking it WAY too seriously.
What these people don't seem to appreciate is that their desire to gain crippling arthritis by exploiting "bugs" or "glitches" or "oversights during development" or whatever does NOT make them good players.
I am very happy to see this removed. I am actually looking forward to online play, and I can't think of anything that would kill that quicker than people using exploits.

The saddest part is that he isn't the worst one.
I also agree Fryguy. Wavedashing would have ruined Brawl's online for sure. I also LOVE how people think they'll still win with it. I've played people who can wavedash. Their good, but you take it away and their not much different then the normal player. They are not Gods and as much as they hate to admit it, they are going to lose more.

If you are a good player in Smash, you don't NEED wavedashing. Either way, wavedashing got removed as they know it, not because it is a glitch, but that Brawl is improving the aerial game from Melee. To do this, they had to vastly improve the air-dodging of which wavedashing relies on. I'd like to think that wavedashing, being a favorite advanced technique, is still in the game, just that it is NOW connected to movement, and not air-dodging.

People have said they tried to do it when playing the demo and it did not work.

Have they made one of those for the Wii yet? Anyway, them "metagame" lovers will find some other new exploit if they can get over the fact that the exploits from the previous game are gone. Mark my words.

Have they made one of those for the Wii yet? I hope not. There's nothing I hate more than people who play online and use Action Replay or Gameshark.

With it you can access stuff your not suppose to (like Debug mode) and makes crazy things like 6 player battles and items galore.

You can't really be a good game designer if you don't have a basic understanding of all the aspects that go into design: Graphic design, music theory, programming & game theory, script writing, story writing, level design, and anything I forgot. If you don't have a grasp of all these things you might be an OK designer but not "Very Good"
