Not to mention...Ashley's Manor? If anything, the supposed haunted mansion stage should be LUIGI'S Mansion...
But I'm pretty sure it's just Battlefield or Smashville at nighttime anyway.

It's all fake. Serebii doesn't have AIM, doesn't give two shits about his fans (trust me: I've been a huge visitor to his site for years, and he's a DICK), and he doesn't get CorCoro--his friend does.
Regardless, we got confirmation that the CoroCoro issue mentioned nothing new. So that rumor's squashed to all hell like a tiny little bug. Yay!

It's all fake. Serebii doesn't have AIM, doesn't give two hobos about his fans (trust me: I've been a huge visitor to his site for years, and he's a DICK), and he doesn't get CorCoro--his friend does. Not to mention he has been known to steal info from other sites without proper citation or asking to use the info. This is what makes me believe he's full of it. Another rumor (but much smaller) came out that Serebii said Lucario was to replace Mewtwo. I call BS as Mewtwo is very popular, Serebii is dishonest and he said he'd never tell us this info but all of a sudden blurted to out. |

Basically their story is that they are insiders (localization staff) who wanted to share the good word. The original roster posted was: All Melee fighters EXCEPT Dr. Mario, Roy, Pichu, Ness, Mewtwo All new Brawl fighters Plus Lucario, Krystal, Ridley, Takamaru, Geno, Olimar, Claus, AC Villager, CLOUD, BOMBERMAN, and ANIMAL BUDDY CRATE There were others I missed, surely, as the total was 44. But the topic was deleted after it was flooded with posts, and the second dude made the linked topic where he claims to be lying about the roster BUT not lying about the "quality." He says five Melee characters are cut and a few other things, so check it out.

You've graduated college, you're fluent in Japanese and have many years of experience translating and localizing games for Nintendo.
At the risk of losing your job, you decide you want people to know, 1 month in advance, the final roster to the game you've been working on. You want to make sure you do this somewhere where you know you can keep your identity secret, but you know people are going to believe you. So where does a SMART and PROFESIONAL ADULT go to leak information about a videogame? Why, GAMEFAQS of course!
Once people demand proof... you assure them you only posted the roster, at the risk of your career, to see what reactions people will have... and that you don't need to show them any proof. Also you let them know that even though you've been working on the game, you don't have access to any ounce of proof at all.
People believe him anyway, despite the fact that if all he wanted was to "see people's reactions" a completely fake roster made up of lies would accomplish the same thing.
In one month these kids can finally STFU.

"Who the heck would even SUGGEST Animal Buddy Crate if it was NOT actually TRUE!" Trust me... In a month of mocking this idea, we will find out that the likes of Animal Buddy Crate and Cloud Strife is in our Brawl, and we will be eating pie... Humble pie. =P |

You know, I've been thinking for quite a while that the Animal Buddy Crate needs to be an item, but a playable Animal Buddy would actually be bloody awesome.
