The hammer music now plays a rip from the arcade Donkey Kong if it's important enough to write down.
Also
I think Wario has it too, atleast in the second '06 trailer. You can see it a little before he does the big fist move which I'm guessing is his smash attack.
e: I dunno it sounds even more retro this time. Melee just copy/pasted the N64 version.

Peach's intro is in a video. Actually, almost everyone has their intro in a video now. I'll post and you can cut/past into the original post, Ninja.
Mario -- Leaps out of a growing pipe. Sometimes says: "Here we go!"
Peach -- A whirl of sparkles appears and out spins Peach, covering herself like a geisha with the parasol
Bowser -- A wall of flames appears and Bowser spins through them, destroying the flames
Yoshi -- A Yoshi Egg shakes and hatches, out popping Yoshi
DK -- A DK Barrel shakes and shatters, DK lands and beats his chest
Diddy -- A DK Barrel shakes and shatters, Diddy lands and dances
Link -- Link appears in a whirling gust of wind
Samus -- Samus walks out of a Save Station
Fox -- Fox's Arwing swoops down and he dives out of it
Kirby -- Kirby rides down on a Warp Star
Meta Knight -- Meta Knight's cape appears in thin air and unfurls, revealing Meta Knight
Sonic -- Sonic flies from off screen with a Homing Attack towards the stage
Pit -- A beam of golden light appears and Pit rides down on it
UNCONFIRMED
Ike -- Ragnell is stuck in the ground and Ike falls from the sky and pulls it, posing for battle
Pikachu -- Comes from a thrown Pokeball
That SHOULD be everyone. Also, Latios attacks horizontally across the screen, while Latias moves diagonally. It's a minute difference.

Just to clarify about Ike's entrance, he's using the Black Knight's warp powder. The "fiery thingy" is the circular symbol that appears when the Black Knight warps in Path of Radiance.

There are technically a few "new" items not listed... those character specific ones. Like for example, Samus's powersuit. Peach's Peach (Oh god...) and Diddy's nuts (Damn it!) and perhaps even Snake's box (I can't believe I'm typing this!!!)
But those character specific items don't really need to be listed I guess.
Anybody care to comment on my "in order of likeliness" list?

Yeah, Dr. Mario is more likely than Pichu or Roy. Justification for Dr. Mario being more likely is that A) we didn't see Mario Sporting a Dr. Mario Alternate outfit, B) As well as a Final Smash, Dr. Mario would ALSO need a new Down+B since Mario adopted the FLUDD, and Luigi is likely to adopt the Poultergust, C) Ike is pretty much how Roy would be if Roy had an original moveset, and D) Pikachu in Brawl jokingly evolved from Pichu in its personality and items.
These conditions WOULD supposibly put Dr. Mario above the other two lame clones from Melee, but not above Shiek, Ness or anyone else.

Dr. Mario was thrown in just because of that Dr. Mario music. If you'd like to count alternate costumes as returning characters Dr. Mario could score higher cause no way no how he'll be a seperate character again. I can see Pichu returning as the Dan of Smash Brothers even though nobody wants him to return. Sakurai is mad afterall. Also Marth, Mewtwo and Sheik are more likely than Falco, again if clones are out anyway. I don't expect Falco to return at all and that kind of saddens me  |

I'm not really sure how long it took, I've kinda been updating this text file of mine since the dojo opened up. Just for the hell of it. Originally I only listed the icon numbers... but once they got filled in.... I got bored. So whenever something gets revealed I just add it in there!

UNCONFIRMED referred to Pika and Ike; Pit's is in the official trailer online. But thanks anyways. The only clone we definitely know should be coming back is Ganondorf. The rest are all up in the air. Also, supposedly Ike wears Marth's colors for an outfit. That could mean nothing considering Mario still wears that Wario outfit, but it is worth noting. |
