Meta-Knight has to rely on two ways to kill people. Either hit someone with a smash, or jump off the stage and go get them.

Isn't that the basic gist of killing with anybody?
Though apparently his down smash and up B hit pretty hard.

His Up Smash is good at the final jab and his Uair, if you keep jumping into the attack, is fun for killing. But again: he's a chaser. Him and Pit play very similarly, actually, because both move the same way and lack any real hard hits. Pit doesn't have as much "flow" as Meta Knight because his attacks are more like Link's (more knee-jerk, some lag before or after), but he still has to chase to get kills. I've found that because I've been practicing to be a good Pit player, I'm not half bad with Meta Knight. Sorta like Fox/Falco in Melee.

Isn't that the basic gist of killing with anybody? It depends. Ike (and many other strong characters) can kill with there strong attacks, and they also have strong specials. Meta-Knight doesn't have killable specials or specials (his UP B is good, but wont kill until higher damages).

Hey, sorry to interupt, but I gotta ask you:
I live in Europe, and still have to wait until June >_<... But how is DeDeDe as a character? Is he good? (I'm asking this because DeDeDe is my favourite character ever since I played Kirby's Dream Land)

I like screwing around with him with VS Anyone Mode (since none of you people bothered to register me yet :T). He's pretty slow naturally, but has a few quick attacks, his forward tilt has pretty good range too. His forward smash takes forever, but it feels sooo goood when it hits. Throwing Waddle Dees around is good fun also.
And when he ducks he actually lies down on his side in a 'you guys are boring' way. Dedede's awesome.

Eh, I suck as Dedede. He's too slow.

I like screwing around with him with VS Anyone Mode (since none of you people bothered to register me yet :T). I've got you registered, Gloop, but it says "Awaiting registration." Does for a lot of people, actually, so I have a feeling its a connection issue.
Anyway, Dedede is my best Brawl character; his moves have a lot of lag, but when they hit, they hit hard. They generate either a lot of damage, knockback, or both, but due to the nature of how slowly his moves execute, you need to have a good sense of timing with him. He moves slowly, but because of his size, he can cover a lot of ground (he has the third slowest running speed in the game; faster than Jigglypuff or Ganondorf and equally as fast as Zelda).
His down special - the rocket hammer - is vicious, but it has narrow range and it leaves Dedede vulnerable. If you charge it too much, the fire from the hammer's engine turns blue and Dedede starts to gradually take damage, but it hits much harder. Waddle Dee Toss is surprisingly effective as well, especially if you pull out a Gordo - they hit harder than Waddle Dee and Waddle Doo, and are more likely to KO. But Waddle Dee and Waddle Doo themselves stun opponents, which serves as a nice distraction (even though it doesn't hit that hard). His Inhale move does 10% damage, and you can get pretty good range spitting people back out, but its slow and works most effectively either in a one-on-one match or when you can spit your opponent out into another player.
The real kicker is his recovery; the Super Dedede Jump is an awesome attack but it takes time to master. You can only aim it right as you execute it; otherwise, you're locked in a certain arch unless you cancel out of the move by tapping down on the joystick. If you do that, then Dedede gains the ability to steer, but he can't attack or anything. You also need to be careful of cancelling out too close to the ground, since it leaves you vulnerable, and be sure not to use the move under a ceiling, or else Dedede hits his head and fails to follow through with the slam attack. (The slam part, by the way, is most effective if you hit someone while you're coming down and they get trapped under you; this causes them to go flying, whereas clipping them with only one part of the move just causes damage.)
Basically, he takes some getting used to, but he's a strong, solid character whose multiple jumps make him hard to kill.

Me and my cousin (who also couldn't wait and went import style) added each other, but after a few days it still wouldn't register his code. Even when we were online at the same time. So we re-entered each other's codes with the exact 5 letter nickname we chose for ourselves and within 1 minute he was online. I'm guessing nicknames actually DO matter then?

Throwing Waddle Dees around is good fun also. And when he ducks he actually lies down on his side in a 'you guys are boring' way. Dedede's awesome. Dedede is one of the most awkward characters in Brawl. He has a lot of attacks that can rack up damage or assist you (like his long forward strong) and then a lot of powerful moves. He have to find a medium. When do you rack up damage, when do you take a major swing (which is very slow) and when do you try to nail them with any move you have in hopes you have of killing them. His up B is very odd. For one, it's based on your momentum. So if you just go vertically up, you'll go no where. Also, he can't grab the ledge unless you cancel the move (with down). Your best bet woiuld be trying to move towards the stage and then using it in hopes of taking someone out. Just remember it will continue to move forward do cancel if you might go too far. His froward B helps as it gives him a longer range projectile (which many heavy weights lack). He can also get a capsule (and some items may come out that were off, like Smash Balls). His down B is very powerful, but hard to hit in a 1 vs 1. Also, don't hold it too long. Once it's past it's max charge, Dedede will slowly take damage. His Down and up air moves are multi hit, but can also send foes flying. Use it to kill foes who have high damage. Oh, and try to get Smash balls. Dedede's FS may not be the best (unless there is a walk-off-able edge)but he can get them easily. Overall, Dedede is an oddball heavyweight. He has the slowest smashes, but also the strongest. He also has quicker moves and a long range projectile. He also gets the most jumps, and while he can't glide like Charizard, his UP B helps him to recover with ease. He is very awkward. Learning to play Dedede is no easy challenge, especially if you judge him based on DK and Bowser.

I took Xorn to be a reference to Grant Morrison's NEw X-Men. This is localized, after all. Nin10 is either a Mother or Nintendo reference. I'm hoping for the latter. Rawk is without a doubt in reference to Rawk Hawk from Paper Mario:TTYD. EDIT: w00t! 600 posts!
