Eeehh... Do not want. Tailor-made courses for each character were great, because it forced you to learn how all of their moves worked. Target Test just lost the thing that made it useful to me.

I too, am a little disappointed about not having individual courses, but hopefully it makes up for this for recording your best times with each character - that way its basically the same thing.
And replay feature = great.

I never cared for Break the Targets, but I like that there will be Instant Replays. That's pretty cool.

It's cool. I wasn't doubting its return. But Sakurai...WHERE"S BOARD THE PLATFORMS!?

I hope Board the Platforms is back, too. The "Get a Trophy" or whatever it was called was not a good replacement.

Disappointed a only 5 BTT courses. I actually played that mode. But, replays make up for it.

It sucks that each character doesn't get a themed, unique course to their selves, BUT this does save a lot of room on the disc. Sakurai has to cut corners somewhere, y'know? Regardless, it creates a pretty even playing field. No more Young Link Target Tests makes ME happy BTW, did anyone notice there are stock counters? They're little red dots that cover the characters logo and appear right next to their photo. No more little faces, I guess (even though the faces appear when you're picking a level in multiplayer) *shrug*

I'd rather have 5 break the targets courses for all characters instead of many different ones and 2 stages less to actually play VS mode with. Break the targets was the least I did with Melee anyway and will be the least in Brawl with it's awesome Adventure mode.
Also the red dots look kinda dull... I'd rather have the little faces even though they threw a giant portrait on the % counter.

Super Smash Bros. Melee was pretty damn big and they managed to fit that on a 1,5 GB GameCube disc. Wii discs have three times the capacity (and almost six times with dual layer), so I doubt size is much of an issue.

I wonder if the replay value lets you change the angle and player you're watching, like Halo 3 replays...

I'm not buying it's 5 stages overall. People also believed that the DOJO said one Final Smash per match.
I think it's 5 stages for every character.

"This time, there are five different maps of varying difficulty—challenges you can take on with your favorite character."
It can go either way. BUT, note that Samus does not get a very... Samus-y Target Test. She always got a space-themed one before, and this is clearly a generic grassy environment. That's just my two-cents.
