Who's Next

When we talk about characters, it's usually on who you want to see. But now we are getting down to the wire, with few characters left. So I ask who you think will be shown next, be it Vet. or Newcomer.

Captain Falcon needs to be shown before anybody else, period...

But as for the next Newcomer, not sure. If they're showing off secrets (which Dedede may prove), I'm guessing...I dunno...Ridley, maybe?

I think it's enough for newcomers, at least until the game comes out, then unlockables will be shown.

Therefore, C. Falcon will be next (But hey, Dedede proved us all wrong...)

After the games release, Luigi will be shown, then a newcomer, then maybe Jiggly.

Everyone has been saying Bowser Jr, Krystal, Cel-Shaded Link(with his cool moves from Phantom Hourglass) or...or.......um.....RIDLEY!

But for the Vets, probley C.Falcon and if they are showing the unlockables...well luigi, jigglypuff(sadly), Ness(come on!) and GANONDORF!

And has anybody thought of Cel Shaded GANONDORF? Would that be good or just stupid?

Celondorf was pretty bad-a but they will probably go with TP Ganondorf. Also, he looks a lot cooler.

Captain Falcon surely has to be next. I wouldn't be surprised if he was this week in fact.

From then until launch, this order for some reason:
Ganondorf
Krystal
Ridley
Megaman (falling on his anniversary in December)
Sheik (things ramp up at this point (1 a week, maybe even 2 in the last week) to get the hype train really moving before launch)
Mewtwo
K Rool
Game & Watch

That would make 30 characters (well 32 with the two transformations) before launch. Not necessarily all starters, but... maybe.

Even though I think in that list we'd be dipping into secret characters, I still think Jiggles and Luigi wouldn't be revealed until after launch.

Also I pretty much figured Dedede's reveal was probably due to an involvement in Adventure Mode - and that all the bad guys would be revealed before launch for this reason too.

I think we'll see either Falcon or Olimar next.

I'm really, really hoping we don't see any unlockables before launch. I'd rather we stopped getting updtes before that happened, actually.

Captain Falcon, Captain Olimar (and stuff from his game series), and a character from Animal Crossing are things that should appear since the beginning. Unless a newcomer is revealed from a new game series, they need to appear soon on the site.

I'm not doubting a Powerpuff Link, but I'm still doubting Sheik... Wasn't her apparent purpose make Zelda multi-stat plus being contemporary? Maybe Zelda will just have better stats. And Ganondorf needs to join the club of "unlockables in all games".

I'm sure what is making me and others wonder about the starters is the current cover for the game, which logically doesn't feature any of the recently-revealed playable characters.

Captain Falcon is actually in the game. We just haven't seen him yet.

For those of you complaining about "held back" updates, remember the following?

-Kirby's Final Smash only shown off a few weeks ago, though a bit all the way back in the first preview.
-The so-called "delay" in Meta Knight's profile.
-Zero Suit Samus's specials shown only a few weeks ago.
-Fox's Final Smash, on top of that.
-Snake shown just last month, despite being in the first two previews.

Looking back on our reactions to the lack of those, now that they're here...Say, remember when we thought Meta Knight was gonna be a hidden character?

And remember, screenshots must also be taken into account. The reason Fox's Final Smash was shown only a few weeks ago was probably because Lucas was in the screens (with his intro taken into account).

The reason we aren't getting Mario Circuit right now though, is because he's currently going at one stage per series.

We'll get more things like Falcon and Mario Circuit. Just try and be patient. But...which of these two will come first?

Captain Falcon's intro with one of his screens taking place at Mario Circuit? Or Mario Circuit entry with Falcon in the screens?

Heck, Mario Galaxy isn't even out yet either.

Another thing that needs to be considered is development. Some things might not be revealed because they're not working right yet and might get dropped (like Ditto in Melee).

I'm pretty sure Sheik is still in the game. That's probably why Zelda wasn't a choice at E for All.

Oh, and on topic: I think Ness is next to be revealed. I keep thinking Falcon and it's never Falcon. So I'm picking Ness so that the next one WILL be Captain Falcon.

Veteran: Either Ness or Captain Falcon.

Newcomer: Either a Nintendo DS representative or someone from the Animal Crossing series. Male/Female protagonists most likely, because they were mentioned more than once in Sakurai's SSBB poll.

Assist Trophy: Either Jill, Metroid, Nintendo Wars combat vehicles or Saki Amamiya.

I think we should keep tracks on:

· Ganondorf: Third Zelda rep. Mario and Kirby now have their 3 main reps, Zelda is the next "important franchise" in my book.
· Mewtwo: Third Pokémon character (important franchise).
· Sheik: Zelda hasn't got any kind of update other than her profile, and she was revealed on June 15th. I think a Special Moves + Sheik is on the way.
· Krystal/Star Fox rep: Second Star Fox character.
· Mr. G&W: New franchise revealed means new stages, music, moves...
· Captain Falcon: See above.

Marth, Luigi, Jigglypuff and Ness seem to be last moment updates.
