DK Mekanos In a factory setting of sorts, based on DKC3. Most of the time, a crosshair appear on characters, ready to shoot fireballs at them.
Zelda Hyrule Tour Not based on any particular Zelda game (it's ever-changing with every game), but it randomly takes the fight to the series's typical locales such as Death Mountain, Lost Woods, Lake Hylia, and Gerudo Desert.
That's it for now, need to head on out at this moment.
Kirby Popstar Express The fight here takes place aboard a locomotive train that takes it to many places across Dream Land.

Why 2nd? I think that each major franchise, like Mario, DK or Zelda, should have at least three...but anyway, some of my ideas.
MARIO Bowser's Castle: Bowser needs a stage, and this would be awesome anyway. Thwomps, fireballs, maybe the evil spinning laser ball things from SMB3, and lots and lots of lava.
Airship: Would be even AWESOMER than Bowser's Castle. You know the drill...flamethrowers, cannons, Rocky Wrenches...all with an awesome stormy background.
DONKEY KONG Gangplank Galleon: If K. Rool's in, he needs a stage...this would be based off of the ship from the final battle in DKC1, with some DKC2 elements. There would be rigging and topsails on which fighters could climb up, and a big cannon that would occasionally blast out a giant cannonball.
DK Arcade: I always wanted this stage. A few tilted red girders as platforms, with barrels randomly appearing to roll down the girders every now and then. At the bottom are flaming oil barrels. Hammers would appear in a set spot whenever they show up (which they would often in this stage).
ZELDA Ganon's Tower: Ganondorf's stage, and the scene for the final battle from Wind Waker. No special features; it's just really awesome looking. The falling rain could probably have some effect on fighters...
Death Mountain: Mostly based on its Ocarina of Time form, this would take place on a rocky outcropping. Gorons could be seen in the background every now and then, and Bomb Flowers could show up and be thrown. Occasionally, flaming boulders erupt from the volcano and fall down on fighters.
Maybe more later...

If SSBB is going to contain all-star mode, then I hope there's at least one stage for each character this time. I don't want to fight Ganondorf in a Metroid stage, I want to fight him in a Zelda stage!

Yeah. I hope the stages and characters are more organized this time. Though so far, it doesn't look that way.
Each character should have their own stage/theme song. With the amount of characters though... it already looks like some people will share.

I agree, though I think each character should get their own respected levels, besides characters that are too similar with others (Like Mario and Luigi or Diddy and DK)
If we do have a different stage for each character, then let's review the ones that are left.
Sonic Green Hill Zone.
Dedede Wrestling Ring
Kirby Sonething Dreamland related
Pikachu (as Pokemon Trainer is better suited for Pokemon Stadium 2) Something like Saffron City was in SSB64. Maybe Veilstone City.
Zelda A peaceful setting, like Kakariko Village, or Sacred Grove.
Bowser Definately Bowser Castle. Like Goomba Joe said it should have Thwomps and fireballs and other enemies.
Peach A Mario 64 level. Like maybe...Bob-omb Battlefield.

For Peach and Zelda, I'd like to see reworked versions of the Hyrule/Peach's Castle stages. I missed Hyrule Castle in Melee, and somehow Brawl wouldn't seem right without a Peach's Castle stage. Though we've been seeing less and less of that castle recently...

MarioAncient Mushroom KingdomHopefully with those warp pipes again (now that I think about it, melee beta had screenshots of those pipes, but were probably taken out because of the game being rushed ) Giant WorldHuge enemies appearing now and then, including the giant fish from water in the foreground or something. Stage would need the dancing flowers in the background ofcourse. Donkey KongConstruction SitePretty please? Hazards would ofcourse be barrels rolling past from above and flames walking by from below. ZeldaHyrule FieldBased on A Link to the Past, the stage would feature Hyrule Castle in the background. Every while the screen would warp to Ganon's World with the pyramid in the background instead. StarfoxSauriaSomething including killer dinosaurs. Mother3 (rurroh, spoilers!) Tatsumairi Village North gate is perfect for the arena. Hazards could be citizens running around in panic because of the forest fire.
DCMC Concert A simple arena on and around the podium where DCMC is performing. Hazards could be lights out when one of the band members whips out a solo, only the spotlight section being visible for a while.KirbyOrange OceanA few platforms above an orange ocean (hur). This allows people to easily swim back to the arena and makes it hard to KO them downwards (with a good meteor smash maybe, or while being metal).

Very awesome Hyrule Field idea. Maybe the characters would somehow be changed once it turns into the Dark World? Like, becoming bunny versions of themselves? XD

Maybe items should become Dark World enemies in such a shape-shifting Hyrule stage. And BTW, this won't be complete without the Dark World theme that was listed in the "My Music" update.
If a new stage from Super Mario 64 has to appear, I'd pick Tick Tock Clock. Look at that crazy thing, it always was a perfect vertical platforms stage.
Also, don't overlook stuff from Mario vs. Donkey Kong. There needs to be a stage at Mario Toy Company, or at least some way to use the Mini-Marios or the other wind-up toys, perhaps as items.

There should be more Ancient Stages. One for Zelda, Metroid, Kirby, Donkey Kong. That would be cool.

ZeldaHyrule FieldBased on A Link to the Past, the stage would feature Hyrule Castle in the background. Every while the screen would warp to Ganon's World with the pyramid in the background instead. This is the best Hyrule Field idea I've heard yet! Brilliant! ;D I guess no one noticed when I posted that idea in the stage thread. Hyrule Castle from Link to the Past (SNES) You fight on top of Hyrule Castle and falling off the castle is a KO. There are two levels you can fight on, as you can jump on the top of the upper level. Occasionally, patrolling castle guards will come by and join the battle, but they aren't hard to KO. After a while the screen will wobble and the battle will now be in the Dark World, and you'll be fighting on the pyramid. There are now three levels you can battle on, each getting smaller as you jump higher. The top level is dangerous because Bat-Ganon will burst through it - turning it into a hole you can fall through and get KO'd. The hole will be repaired after the level returns to the Dark World after returning to the Light World. And just in case, I'll repost my Butter Building idea for Kirby too: Butter Building from Kirby's Adventure (NES)You can fight on top of the tower, or on the platform just underneath it. It is sort of like a scrolling level, but instead of the screen moving, the building rotates. If you don't move while the building is spinning, you'll be rotated right off the edge. The Sun and Moon will take turns being day and night. During the day the Sun may drop a huge beam down upon the stage and at night the Moon will rain down stars.

I don't think that characters necessarily "own" stages in Smash like in other typical fighter games, seeing that they're basically their own ball game. Their symbols/series do, but that's it really...PictoChat is pratically all the evidence you'd need on that, because what kind of DS-related playable character will there be? A DS Lite?
Yeah, there does have to be more than one stage per series this time, save for that and Smashville (what else is there to do with Animal Crossing?) Don't be a wuss, Sakurai. Don't be a wuss. You did it in Melee, so three per series here would be just right, yeah.
