By the way, the only franchises left that haven't had a stage update on the Dojo yet: -Metroid -F-Zero -Sonic -Mystery Franchise #13 (probably Game & Watch) -Mystery Franchise #19 (I am personally predicting Pikmin. Just sayin') -Mystery Franchises #22+ Fixed. Stage looks nice.

This stage ROCKS. My favorite so far, easily. The fish is a fantastic reference, and swimming is once again CONFIRMED

lol at using a penguin on the Ice Climber stage.
In any case, the concept is very nice and the Balloon Fighter cameo is a plus. This will be one of the first stages I try out, I think.

So far, we've only seen Pikachu swim (in a video) and Dedede swim (in the last screen on this update). And if according to E For All players only so many characters can crawl, can only so many characters swim? I figure it'd be like Wall Jumping as well, only the reverse. You're the odd man out if you CAN'T swim. Characters that won't tread water: -Bowser -Charizard -Samus -Sonic Any others folks can think of?

I believe Sonic has been shown swimming.
I hope everyone can swim, so they can have a water stage.

Well, it's a cool stage...definitely better than Icicle Mountain.
But this means that F-Zero officially has the least updates of any franchise that can feasably be represented by a playable character. -_- Christ. Where's the love, Sakurai?

Not a bad stage. Way better than before, on top of that.
Next up: -Norfair -Mario Circuit -Captain Falcon -Lucas: Special Moves -Zelda: Final Smash -Ice Climbers: Final Smash -"Powering up" (Adventure Mode)

I believe Sonic has been shown swimming. I certainly hope not. Smash Bros. has always been great at staying true to the characters. If Sonic can swim in this game it means Sakurai isn't paying attention to his history at all. Not being able to swim is a major part of his character, and it's what set the entire plot of his anime series in motion.

Getting back on topic (I wonder if I the one being off-topic)
Does any of you think that the summit stage might be like the brinstar stage from past Smash bros. games? You know, instead of lava rising they will be cold water rising.

It definitely seems to be inspired a little by the old Zebes/Brinstar stages a little bit. Seeing as the DK stage is based on Melee's Icicle Mountain, it's not much of a surprise The more I look at this stage, the prettier it is. Except for the fish. He's just retro-chic ;D

Yeah, Sonic, Samus and Charizard shouldn't be able to swim.

Yeah, Sonic, Samus and Charizard shouldn't be able to swim. Yeah, what happens when Charizard goes in water? Instant KO?

If Sonic can swim in this game it means Sakurai isn't paying attention to his history at all. Not being able to swim is a major part of his character, and it's what set the entire plot of his anime series in motion. That's hard to do when even Sega can't be consistent with Sonic. In the 2D games he can go underwater just fine (so long as he gets air bubbles), yet in the 3D, it's game over. Unless swimming has some negative effect on the characters that can swim (like gaining percentage), being able to swim is a *huge* advantage.
