That's just SSB64, not SSBB.
Still, I read the entire article and didn't see a single explanation as to why he thought it was so bad. He started by saying it was bad, then kinda repeated himself a few times. He said it was a sham. He said it was Nintendo characters fighting on Nintendo stages, and that in itself was a sham...
But he doesn't actually mention the gameplay. Luckily, it doesn't look like many people actually paid attention to that website, as Smash is possibly Nintendo's most valuable franchise right now XD
If I was the editor, I'd have sent that bad with a big red line through it. But then this is the internet! Anyone can write any old bollocks if they like!

I thought it was fake until I checked Melee which got 9/10. Huh.
I do remember the original getting pretty mediocre scores in other reviews aswell. Apparently most reviewers didn't like the lack of HP bars and all that.

The fact that he thinks Captain Falcon is from StarFox leads me to believe he wasn't able to unlock him. Funny, since he mentions him when saying how easy the game is. XD
His major complaints, reading the article, are that it's cute and 2D. Two things that I actually enjoy.
Also, LOL at this -
"The funny thing is, Super Smash Bros. is doing quite well on both the rental and the sales charts in spite of my disapproval."

The game he's describing sounds nothing like SSB64 I don't think he ever played it. What was with the power up system he descibed? Mario grabs a power star and then shoots fireballs? Facepalm.jpg FTW! Wrong Wrong Wrong Here's the clincher Play the game Before reviewing it dummy.

God, this dude is the stupidest person I've ever seen writing from. He probably created this site without any knowledge of Nintendo (or SSB) at all. Wow, now actual reason as to why it was bad. That's totally what a game review site should do. I was tempted to 'fix' it this way.

Nah, this is the official site of the Electric Playground which had its own show on G4, and ran by Tommy Tallerico (Who gave Melee a 2/10 because Kirby was in it and will likely not be happy that Kirby brought his friend in for Brawl)
In other words, ignore it as it is an anti-Nintendo site.

The only pro he did give about the game was the fact that "Starfox can use a lightsaber." When technally every character who find's and grab's a beamsword can.
