Surely you’ve learned how to shield to protect yourself. Have you learned that yet? Good. You’ve learned.
Then next up is grabbing. And throwing!Press the attack button while shielding...And grab at your opponent! If you press the attack button while shielding, you’ll grab. Give a try next time you’re shielding.Block your enemy’s attack with your shield! Then just press the attack button to grab your enemy!Tilt the Control Stick in any direction you like to throw! Then pursue with combo attacks! And so on.
Grabs are also effective against enemies that are protecting themselves with their own shields. Shield against attacks, then grab. Or dodge. If you can understand this flow, you’ll find they add a dimension that changes the simple charging attack.
At any rate, get in the habit of shielding when you’re in trouble. Then you can think about what comes next.

Nice to get this out of the way in a double update.
I always grab an opponant in with the grab button usually, I have never tried grabbing with the shield/attack combo way.

Same here. It just feels awkward doing grabs like that.

I, too, use the awkwardly placed Z button for grabs. Then again I usually run towards someone and grab them, instead of shielding first. My friend waits for me to attack and shield/grabs all the time and it's bloody annoying, but doesn't work against Ice Climbers. That's why they're awesome

Anyone notice how Ike buries his sword in the ground when throwing Link upwards?
Yeah, that's really the most interesting part of this update.

You all complain, but thats another shitty update type that we know probably wont have to see for a couple of weeks (at least). Plus they'll have to make it up to us soon.

We are due for a character, but they're going to come less and less frequently. If we even do one every other week at this point, that'd be eight more characters for the starting roster--leaving only twelve unlockable ones. Not as fun. One every three weeks looks like the new norm =\

I'd rather Luigi and Jigglypuff be unlockables once again.
The only new character we could use this time around is Captain Falcon anyways. We got two days to go this week. It can happen.

Sorry, I was rolling with the official unofficial 40 character approximation we got ages ago and forgot to treat it as hypothetical.
