Woo! Professor Layton! He's my new idol. He's like sherlock holmes, but game-worthy.
Ahem...but..yes. Brawl boxart. Very important. Still don't believe that's the official one until I see it on the shelf.

Well Pikachu sure looks less when zoomed in. Also I wonder how the Japanese/EU boxart will look like, since they're usually different from the US cover.

I still don't like how the cover is distributed. It seems like a Mario vs Pokemon vs Kirby game. Where are Ike, Lucas, Ice Climbers, Snake, Sonic?

I still don't like how the cover is distributed. It seems like a Mario vs Pokemon vs Kirby game. Where are Ike, Lucas, Ice Climbers, Snake, Sonic? I suppose Link, Samus, Pit, Fox and Wario are just there for decoration, then, hmm? We just didn't officially know about most of those characters at the time it was released except Ike and Snake. I imagine Ike got bumped (alongside Bowser, Yoshi and the rest) for more recognizable or desirable characters like Meta Knight or Pit. Snake I can see being cut out because he's 3rd Party--for whatever reason.
Anyway, I had my doubts about this art erased long ago. It's been used all over the place--even in GameStop's preorder guidebooks. I have to say at this point in time it's good to see some actual art about these characters now, since the only "official" pictures are the ones posted at the top of each character's personal page on the DOJO.

So why to struggle for so many franchises when the cover only shows 8 of them through 11 characters? The boxart for SSBDX had all 14 starters there. Characters from many series and relevance were posing as they had equal importance.
But this... I love the art and that, but I find it unbalanced. Why Peach and not Bowser? Why Link is like the game is about him? Why Fox is back there as if no one cared about him? I'd rather have a "family shot" with all the characters posing.
Sorry, but there are many characters missing. Even classics like Yoshi and DK.

We haven't seen the back of the box yet. Maybe it'll feature the rest of the starting cast. Or at least enough to be more fair to certain franchises representation-wise.

I would die for a boxart like this. It's so nostalgic... it takes me back to Melee:

Considering the cover was on the last Nintendo Power cover...it appears to be as real as real can be. *shrugs*
GenG - That's cool art...hope it gets released soon.

Sakurai had the Melee crowd image on his Melee blog and updated it with more color and characters whenever a new secret fighter was unveiled. Went from Luigi in the air to MG&W ringing his bell.
...Jesus Christ that IS the boxart, stubborn posters. It's on the cover of Nintendo Power, it's from Nintendo PRESS.... The only differences we could get would be more characters but it's going to have what we see here.

The cover pisses me off. It's like they got some sixteen year old from deviantart to draw it in Photoshop. Pokemon Trainer's hand is just awkward.
And why does the rating say "Teen Adolescents" and not just Teen?

They really need the third party characters on there. That would probably require them be starters, though, but thats what should happen anyway.
That other art looks very cool to. So I assume we're getting a pic of all the characters in a line just like in Melee?

It's good art but the lack of 3rd party makes me wonder if another 3rd party character could get shown before release. I would die for a boxart like this. It's so nostalgic... it takes me back to Melee: Yeah that's pretty cool art but did anyone notice that in those images it looks like Kirby is sitting between Link's legs?
