Mastering the chargeable subset of special moves is important.
Take the following moves, for example.Link’s Standard Special Move: The Hero’s BowPikachu’s Side Special Move: Skull BashThese moves can be charged up by holding down the special-move button, increasing both speed and power. If you press the button down firmly and then release, you’ll unleash the move at full strength! When you first try out a character you aren’t familiar with, this should be the first thing you try.
But, there are also some moves that continue charging even after you release the button... Huh???DK’s Standard Special Move: Giant PunchSamus’s Standard Special Move: Charge Shot...among others.
For these moves, when you press the special-move button again, it unleashes the move at the power level you charged it to.
Also, with these moves, you can move around while charged by charging the move to the maximum limit or by pressing the shield button to cancel the charge.Look! Smoke shoots out from his head when he’s reached maximum charge!Do your best to build up the maximum charge, then unleash it at just the right moment! These are superimportant techniques for characters like DK and Samus. Don’t forget them.

I'm glad Sakurai doubled this update up, because I would have lost it if this was by itself.

Yeah, I would have been annoyed if this was the lone Friday update, but a double update makes this okay. It's also gets it out of the way as well.
After seeing them show Link's bow charging, I thought they would shown him doing the charged Spin Attack after that.
I'm only saddened becuase they did not show any newcomers demostaring these moves. (If there are any).

And Walrus...why did you change your sig? I get bored and tinker with things on forums I visit or Myspace. This time it was this forum. Also, a lot of the wagering percentages I used when I made it have changed (Ness is way lower, Jiggly is up to 90%.) and I didn't feel like editing them.

I'm glad this was joined by new content, but I must admit this is a bit lame. I mean, they could have shown ONE newcomer charging an attack. Instead we have four SSB veterans using attacks we already knew could be charged from past games.

Yeah, this update wasn't that great. Seeing a new attack would've been cool, but you can't always get want you want.

Honestly I don't think this is a bad as you guys make it out to be - its recently become clear that we'll be getting a lot of updates purely to make the site more comprehensive, and this necessary one was couple with a sexy as, brand new, final Smash.

After seeing them show Link's bow charging, I thought they would shown him doing the charged Spin Attack after that. That could probably be assigned to a young Link for a change. Though it could be more comfortable if the move were a Standard Special and you could run and walk while charging it. Make him use the Deku Leaf as Up Special instead.

Yeah, the fact they couldn't even do like... the Sonic Spin Dash attacks to clarify what the hell the difference is? That's annoying. FLUDD, Link's Up B, PK Ice, Jet Hammer, etc. etc. Not to mention moves confirmed at E For All but not elsewhere, like Diddy and Ike's Side B attacks.
All in all, I'm glad this was coupled with another update.
