Does anyone find it a bit odd that K.Rool is on the list? For some reason, that's the only character addition that I see as making the list somewhat legit. Not saying that it is in the least, but when I saw K. Rool in there I was like: "Woah. This is for real." Which is funny, because I HATE K. Rool with a passion. But it just made so much "official sense," if you can even know what the hell I'm talking about.

I'm 99% sure that Megaman Silhouette comes from official art for Megaman 7 or 8. I'll have to doublecheck to make sure.
Also, Teev, that's an interesting rumor right there. But I'm not gonna put much stock in it just out of safety... Looks like you got me and Flip mixed up TEi ;D Anyways, the picture on the right is Simon Belmont (c'mon people!). Fixed, sorry. I was literally more asleep than not when I made that post. XD;

I loved the first one, but I could not stand the characters, sequels, and esp. K. Rool. He just seemed like a cop out villain. Just like Bowser, only no shell and a crown. Whoop-de-doo. He wasn't even amusing.

Try watching the DKC TV show. It'll change you whole view of him.
Wait, how could you not like the sequels? If anything they're better than the first one for being even more unique. Have you actually played them all?
Please don't tell me you hate Cranky... >_>

Ahaha, K. Rool was pretty good in the DKC TV show. I don't even really care for him and I can say that without a problem.
K. Rool, personally, just got caught up on Rare Raft. I want to like him, since he's DK's most frequently reccurring enemy, but Rare villains always make it hard for me have interest in them. General Scales, Wizpig, that guy from Conker--they all just don't catch my fancy. I don't outright hate the guy, I just want something to come from him that would make him more intriguing.
I'm hoping that future Donkey Kong games give K. Rool that spirit, you know?

And while DKR was amazing, the Rare effect happened and... ugh. I just find it hard enjoying Rare characters, despite the wonderful work they do on their games.

To Tei:
Hate to dredge up an old subject, I'll bet dollars to donuts that Scales woulda turned out better had SF Adventures remained in it's Dinosaur Planet incarnation.
Wizpig was a one-off from a spin-off. DKR had more memorable characters besides him, even though a giant pig sorcerer from space is pretty damn wacky.
If by "that guy from Conker" you mean The Panther King, I doubt he was ever intended to be anything more than a parody of generic Big Bosses. Once again, CBFD had a lot more memorable characters (and were probably intended to be memorable).
To Flip:
I think DKC3 rounds off the trilogy quite nicely. DK64 gets too much flak for not being like DKC enough, but I like simply because of how organized the collectables were. Yes, it's more like Banjo than DK, but Banjo is still good. DK Land... I only like the first one since it isn't as much of a remake as the other two.
Rare's characters are at their best when they are not bound by certain rules, like having to fit in with a cast that Rare did not create. Read my quip about SFA above.

In fact you're probably right about Scales; he was just forced into the Star Fox continuity because Nintendo borked up Dinosaur Planet. Unfortunately, I have no idea how Scales would have turned out otherwise, so he sits on the raft with the rest XD;
As for the rest, you're right, DKR and CBFD all had much more memorable characters, I'm not gonna deny that. But even then, some of them appeal to people; I just don't happen to be one of them ;D I respect that you like K. Rool and how you feel about some of the games I've mentioned, and I'll throw out a precautionary apology in case I sounded like I was trying to snub you. They just don't happen to be my thing.
I've been trying to get more into DKC, since I feel like my earlier (waaay earlier, like around when the first one was released on the VC) assessment of the trilogy were unfair and based heavily on the uneducated opinion of my youth. I'm pretty bad at them, but i hope eventually to make my way up to K. Rool. Maybe I'll change my mind about the guy. Who knows?

He's a funny character, and the fact that he's the main antagonist of a game series where Diddy Kong also premiered is a good enough reason to think in a playable K. Rool in Brawl.
It's a bit weird that the enemies in Donkey Kong's The Subspace Emissary fragment are Koopa Troopas, Goombas, and Bullet Bills, but that's probably just because of the crossovering nature of the game.

On the topic of the old cartoon, it was pretty good beyond the bad animation. Most of the old US cartoons were pretty good, or OK. The Sonic one wasn't to bad (I'm talking about the one with just Sonic, Tail, Eggman, and the two robots). They were usually entertaining and like regular cartoons with your favorite characters. Now, they are all bad anime dubs.
As far as K. Rool, he made a 2 on the poll, so he's not unlikely. I don't buy this per say, but I guess it's feesable(speeling?). I'd play it.

In case there were still any doubts about the third character: I kinda wish it were real... he would work. That portrait is from KOF: Maximum Impact 2

That guy reminds me of Captain N from the Mario Cartoons...well except for the hair. And the cap.

Terry Bogard playable in Brawl would be hilariously fun. Especially if he kept his engrish voice actor.
