You never know with these things. I beleive what this guy said, but I'm not sure what to think about Sakurai's final decision. If Lolo and Lala get in the game as an Ice Climber styled pair, then maybe that'll explain why Diddy is there by himself even though you (Flip) said that Sakurai also liked the idea of a Diddy/Dixie team. I actually think there's more of a chance at Lolo getting in by himself though, just to be safe.

Though I think, if anything, they'll be relegated to Assist Trophy status. Cause they're great, and definitely notable, but... I dunno. They just don't seem important or unique enough as fighters to get the full playable treatment.

I agree; it's a believable story, it's not complete fanwank like rumors tend to be. I would still like to see those pictures before I commit to anything, though, so for the time being I'll remain neutral (instead of my usual skeptical mindset ;D). And since I have Dedede now, I'm not wholly opposed to the thought of Lolo and Lala making it in as playable characters, like I was initially so long ago.

I agree with Roberton Pantaloons, though...There's always the chance that Sakurai could just decide not to do it. And he said he'd put them in the "next Smash Brothers," which could easily be mistaken to mean SSB4.

Well, in any case, I'm curious to see where this leads!

"Put in next Smash Brothers," could mean so different things. Playable, Assist Trophy, sticker or as Deadpool said, SSB4 even.

Oh no, totally. But it's a touching story regardless. I don't expect to see Lolo and Lala be playable; an Assist Trophy is the perfect position for them to occupy.

If they were playable, they would definitly be from their own series. But assist is most likely. And maybe a music remix.

I'd like to point out the Eggerland Series Lolo is technically owned only by Hal Labs. Remember Hal Labs and Game Freak are second-party and HAVE made games for systems not owned by Nintendo. So unless Lolo is fully playable and thus needs to be differentiated from Kirby much like DK, Wario, and Yoshi, they will use Lololo and Lalala from the Kirby games.

That's a very good story, nicely written. I can't totally discount it. I know that Jonathan Mann, AKA GameJew, wrote a song for Miyamoto and managed to sing it to him at E3. Sakurai would have to meet, being not as well known. His behavior certainly suggests that there's something to it. If he was doing it for attention, he'd have posted it all over the internet.

Yeah I found that odd too... it definately doesn't smell like a Gamefaqs/NSiders rumor. And also... Lolo just has Assist Trophy written all over him.
