Actually, I haven't bought a DS yet. I haven't shelled out $150 for my DS yet. I think you should buy it first before you say that its disapointing.

Actually, I haven't bought a DS yet. I haven't shelled out $150 for my DS yet. Haha, for a moment there I thought you said you haven't bought a DS yet. Haha, that would have meant that your original post was confusing and ill thought through, rather than an intelligent discussion into why you don't think it's particularly good. But... nah... surely not.

Goldeneye (the Rare version on the N64), Donkey Kong 64, and Banjo-Kazooie are coming out for the DS. Dried tears anyone?

I heard Rare are recruiting for DS development staff... not heard about any games yet. If all they do are ports of N64 games then I will possibly cry.

Actually, if they ported Goldeneye, Perfect Dark, Banjo Kazooie and Banjo Tooie I'd be very happy.
Of course, if they developed a Banjo Three-ie or a Goldeneye 2, then....

They already got "GoldenEye 2" (Rogue Agent) and they announced a Banjo 3 for the Xbox.

If you call Goldeneye: Rogue Agent a sequel then EA will have won. It is NOT a sequel... it is a tacky marketing gimmick... and a BAD one at that.

Actually, if they ported Goldeneye, Perfect Dark, Banjo Kazooie and Banjo Tooie I'd be very happy. Since Perfect Dark Zero is one of the 'big' games for the Xbox 360 I doubt it'll appear. And most of the development team for Goldeneye have left Rare so I doubt that will appear either.

Ooh, that's great. Maybe if they release a SM64 DS "Plus" version (Classic version Included) and I void my warranty and get a MOD chip to run classic GB games...I will acheive DS happiness.
....as if that will ever happen.

Rumours aren't facts... you shouldn't state them as such.
All we know is that Rare is recruiting for DS development positions. We don't know what games they're making yet. Nobody does.
As for all the "it won't be Perfect Dark, etc." claims, remember two things - 1) the X-Box 360 and Nintendo DS are not competitors, and 2) Microsoft is keen to look good in the eyes of Nintendo -- in the (hopefully never) event of Nintendo going third-party, Microsoft is the most potential candidate as a buyer.

Microsoft would own the business if they ever did get ahold of Nintendo.
The DS is sort of dissapointing, but fortunately Advance Wars DS will be out this August. Hopefully it shall redeem the DS. But it better have support for WiFi...
