I'd like to point out that Nintendo is more demanding of voices that sound right than Sega is, so Nintendo is probably forcing Jason Griffith to BE on his A-Game for Sonic.

Jason Griffith's A-Game is not enough. He needs to be on his Five-Star-Hotel-In-Hawaii-Surrounded-By-Attractive-Women-in-Bikinis-While-Receiving-Fellatio-From-Jessica-Alba Game. He needs to be on his Collect-Every-Speed-Shoes-Power-Up-On-Speed-Highway-Without-Backtracking-and-Getting-That-A-Rank Game. He needs to be on his Greatest-wizzleing-Game-Sonic-and-Subsequently-Jason-Griffiths-Will-Ever-Be-In Game. He needs to treat this project as if, on the off-chance that he doesn't get on the afore-mentioned games, he will be fired, blacklisted, and have his vocal chords forcibly removed via his rectum. He needs to stop sucking. He needs to be great, as should be expected for anyone casting voice for the Greatest Stage of All Time.
Are my expectations a tetch high?
...No, I don't think they are.
Anyway. I'm trying to get those voice clips I mentioned but WinAMP has just royally fscked up my computer. Watch this space. Got the voice clips!

Griffith didn't sound too bad when he did the voice work for Sonic 2006.

I noticed some of those voices were used in the Mario Party series, except for Peach's, her voice, in those clips, was HORRIBLE! Ah jeez, it was like a really manly engrish women. Wario's wasn't too bad, it actually sounded like Charles Martinet, but Luigi sounded like a girl...
