I reckon we need a Sidescrolling Beat 'em Up, since it would allow them to create a new game (possibly franchise) that is something different, but can still take elements from some of there other Sidscrolling games. Would also allow Nintendo to create something such as Viewtiful Joe, not just in terms of gameplay but in terms of a cool, non-"kiddy" character without becoming extremely adult or too mainstream for gamers to like. I'm not sure how they'd change it though - when I thought about this today (coincidently enough), I thought they could make a Waluigi based beat 'em up (though Wario could be used for a bit more mainstream appeal), and it could use similar techniques from Mario games, ie. powerups and stuff, but in a beat em up context. Of course using a Mario character would probably work against that non-kiddy thing I talked about, though I think it would still work well. I dunno, really. You and I must think on the same wavelength. I've had ideas brewing for a similar game for years. Nintendo could do a Battletoads/Double Dragon/River City Ransom like game where you pick different types of characters (i.e. boxer, ninja, wrestler, whatever else) and you just run around pummelling stuff. And they could always toss in characters for cameos, like Fighter Kirby or the one and only Urban Champion himself ;D I also thought an overhead "destroy stuff" game, like King of the Monsters, with Nintendo villains would rock. Somehow the idea of a gargantuan Bowser, Mewtwo, Ridley and Ganon leveling Tokyo is really really cool. |

I think Nintendo should make another detective game and release it in America. The new DS game "Trauma Center: Under the Knife" looks great and is a new genre, I can feel that this game could get expansions and spinoffs.....
But maybe Nintendo should make a good 3rd person shooter platformer. Like Jak and Ratchet and Clank.

Ah, but Nintendo HAVE been inventing their own genres. I was interested in seeing what existing genres you'd be interested in seeing them working the Nintendo magic on. As for third-person shooting platformers... I suggest you give StarFox Assault a go  |

11?!  ....should I ask? In the same vein as the "destroy stuff" game, I thought a mission-based game with Bowser would be really really cool. Something where Kammy is reading off things for Bowser to do, and he'll have to kidnap the Princess in one level, and the next level would require him to fight a Doomship battle, and the next would be a Rampart type thing where he has to have troops build up defenses against enemy troops. They could even give Bowser his own villain to fight, and toss in a whole slew of Koopa-related characters (Junior, Kamek, Wart, Koopalings, etc.). It would just be funny to see Bowser starring in his own game. If Peach can get her own game... |

I would like nintendo to do a Game Maker, either for DS or revolution, with the posibilities of sharing your creations with your friends via download play.

Or a Kirby racing gsme... uh no, it has been done.

A Mario horror game has been done too... I'll honestly say the first time I played Luigi's Mansion I did have that horrible survival-horror-style panic when the lights went out after the Big Boo fight and you have to get to the basement. Pant-wetting |
