Zelda Final Smash Clear Image:
Whobby
Assist Trophies don't spawn very often.
Squirtle victory pose: Squirtle runs from in front of the camera, spins around PT and does a victory pose with his left hand. (peace sign maybe?)
Apparently the person saying that Lucario was a Pokeball also said Luigi was a Pokeball...... So rejoice, whoever wanted Lucario in brawl.
Barbara the Bat as AT. (From the most recent commercial)
Game loading is less than 2 seconds
New Pokemon: Cherimu
When pokemon are thrown out to fight, they make their "cry" sound.
Fox victory pose: Puts hand on hip, is facing sideways and says something (It was unable to be heard)
In PictoChat, there is a part that has lot of arrow pointing up. The characters go flying all over the place and off screen when this part of the stage is present.
From watching, there is no evidence of stamina being incorporated into battle with the Pokemon.
PictoChat crates are the "Gift Crates" theme.
PT defeat/loss quotes from results screen (poorly translated): "My Pokemon's loss is my loss.", and "I credit my Pokemon." Since he's not clapping, at least he credits them for victory and shares defeat with them.
Unconfirmed: Pokemont Trainer does not clap, but his Pokemon used does?
Gourmet Race Music (Smash 64's Dreamland stage music) for Halberd Stage.
Unconfirmed: Pokemon Trainer does not clap after defeat. He lowers his head in shame.
Dash Crouch Cancelling has changed somehow.
Ike just owned some Charizard. - (Phrase copyrighted by Brawl Central)
Dedede Impressions: He cannot move during his Final Smash. One of his victory poses his him leaning on his hammer.
All three of BC's translators are unavailable ATM. One will be off work in 20 minutes. The info may not be perfect until then.
Possible photos being taken.
DK is basically the same.
SSE movie being shown. Unknown if it's new or old.
The end of Link's Spin attack is lacking power
Black Squirtle with Blue Pokemon trainer
90 minute playing delay.
Pokemon Trainer poses with his last used Pokemon during the results screen.
Two reports of a black Charizard.
8 Units set up. 30 min wait to play.
~~~All the below information is from the previous event. Impressions above this line are new.~~~~~
PT Impressions: Ivysaur's jumps are quick, but short. Squirtle's Side Special (Withdraw) is useful and quick, but easy to SD with. Charizard is not good for FFA according to one person.
The Beam sword is much longer than expected.
Link tried to FS an opponent who had a Starman and it failed. One time during Kirby's FS, Starmen were launched from the pot. The enemies used the Starmen and ended up KO'ing Kirby.
4:00am Central: No more updates for now. Sleepy time.
Waddle Dees are better than turnips in terms of knockback and damage. Dedede's Suction spits out fast, but not very far and has low damage.
Samus cannot missle cancel. Peach can float cancel.
More reports of Dedede being very slow with fast atacks, but a conflicting report of his Waddle Dees being useful and spammable.
More PT Impressions: Charizard's has multiple jumps and his Fly is powerful. He flies straight up and burns anything around him. His flamethrower is identical to Bowser's Fire Breath. Squirtle's Water Gun is chargable. Ivysaur is immobile while using Bullet Seed. PT's FInal Smash is very powerful.
The PictoChat stage sometimes has impenetrable walls and can trap you on a side of the stage.
DK's Final Smash used correctly can take up 90% of a stage. His FS was originally thought to be ineffective.
Some people worry that the Smash Ball occurs too much.
Rumors of Black Charizard. Some suggest a very dark Chrarizard that is near-black.
PT Impressions: Squirtle has fast attacks, but no reach. Ivysaur is the more balanced of the Pokemon. Charizard is heavy, medium speed, and attacks using claws and tail mostly.
Pokemon trainer's starting Pokemon is random. So far, it's unconfirmed if the starter can be selectable like Shiek was for Zelda in Melee.
Dragoon does 42% damage. It KO'd Mario at 0%.
Lots of Invincibility frames when switching Pokemon.
Dedede's Suction is beastly because of it's force and strength.
Ike is being called a noob killer. His Side Special charged can KO Kirby and Meta Knight at 35%. He is being called "too powerful".
Meta Knight is a good beginner character.
Ashley Deconfirmed! She appears in the WarioWare stage. So does 9-Volt and Jimmy.
Kirby Impressions: Final Cutter has been changed once again. It's different than 64 and Melee.
Attendee's Opinion: Pictochat music was bothering.
Dedede Impressions: Attacks are fast, but hammer is sluggish. As stated before, his Up SPecial has good knockback, but is completely vertical, like Ike's.
Pokemon Trainer Impressions: Takes about three seconds to change Pokemon. Colors: Red, Green, Blue, and Black & White (original GB version). PT's Pokemon do not have accessories like hats, glasses, ect.
First reports of an attendee: He writes about Samus, but adds nothing new to what we already knew. You can't turn into ZSamus at the start of the match at all.
Now that the event is over, expect lots of media, and some new info to be posted from attendees.
We have the Stage Select Screen.(Look at bottom of post for image)
Conflicting News: Apparently, a Nintendo rep has confirmed that Brawl is coming out on the 24th in Japan, however the Brawl pamphlets handed out show the price of the game, but no release date.
Muddy Mole is an assist trophy. (Not Monty Mole) Muddy Mole is a character from "Mole Mania", a GB game that Sakurai adores.
People are under the impression that Meta Knight is very good and Dedede is not. (This is only first impressions that are hours old, keep in mind)
King Dedede has the same voice as his anime counterpart.(Japanese voice. Not 4kids voice)
There is some talk of some stage debut? We are unsure what it is refering to. (translations in process) Turned out to be nothing.
70-80 minute wait to play a match.
UPDATE: Female Pokemon Trainer news is confirmed FALSE.
The Female Pokemon Trainer is said to be a female version of "Red". We also hear reports of black Charizard (unconfirmed)
We are getting multiple reports of a FEMALE POKEMON TRAINER as an alternate costume for PT.
Ike Victory Pose: "I only fight for those I protect" (May be off due to translation issues)
Onett impressions: Virtually no changes made. (exept Ness in the background, just kidding )
PictoChat impressions: Some are negative, some are "better than expected."
PLAYABLE STAGES:Battlefield, Battleship Halbred, Norfair, Hyrule Temple, Onett, WarioWare, PictoChat, Bridge of Eldin, Delfino Plaza, Yoshi's Story, Smashville, Castle Seige, Pokemon Stadium 2, Skyworld, Space Armada, Lylat Cruise
Dragoon was seen as an item. There are also a few new items such as a time bomb and spike bomb.
Onett and PictoChat are playable stages.
Classic Controller and Wiimote are available controller choices.
Meta Knight: No strong attacks. He's the kind of character that relies on multiple hits. FS is very strong and has a wide hitbox. Not much use for gliding. Taunt: Flaps his wings and does a "warp" or some sort.
Diddy Kong: He's very fast and can 'put hurt on you."
NO MORE DELAYS: According to someone to who asked a Nintendo rep there: Brawl is confirmed to be released on the 24th. (Japan)
Pokemon Trainer disappears on certain stages. He was not present on Delfino Plaza.
New Pokemon: Shaymin
UNCONFIRMED: Pokemon trainer's starting appearance is him running to a stop and taunting.
Item Selection is ON. Smash Balls can be turned off.
King Dedede has a pink costume.
Dedede is a heavy, slow, powerful character. He has 4 mid-air jumps (5 total jumps). His Waddle Dee throwing attack is weak. His Up Special has good knockback.
Dedede's starting appearance is the Waddle Dee Shrine seen on the Dojo.
Pokemon Trainer and King Dedede Playable! They appear as "Dedede" and "P. Trainer"
Confirmed: The Brawl game available is a demo, however, it is a new one.
Confirmed: Photography IS allowed, but only in certain areas.
More Whobby Things!
Ivysaur's jumps were quick but small.
* Charizard didn't fare so well in FFA; he requires practice.
* Squirtle's Withdraw attack was quick but "self-destructive." (Not quite sure what that one means.
Post 519:
* The range of the Beam Sword was "longer than imagined."
Post 527:
* Dragoon was reconfirmed, but the user missed the shot.
* Sounds like the screen goes a little askew when Dragoon is put into play.
Post 107:
* A Nintendo rep reconfirmed that, yes, Brawl WILL be released in Japan on the 24th.
Post 237:
* Reconfirmation of "Theme of Samus Aran - Galactic Warrior" as a Norfair BGM.
Post 502:
* Dedede's voice was the same as in the Japanese anime. (Personally, I would be a little miffed if we got that Southern drawl from the U.S. version of the anime in Brawl.)
Post 301:
* Sounds like edgeguarding is the only purpose that F.L.U.D.D. will serve.
Post 537:
* When PT wins, the trainer himself is absent; the last-used Pokemon appears on the victory screen in his stead.
Post 229:
* Battlefield BGM: SSBB Theme (difficult to hear because he only caught 15 seconds or so)
* Battleship Halberd BGM: Gourmet Race
* WarioWare BGM: WarioWare Inc. - Title Theme
* Delfino Plaza BGM: Delfino Plaza
* Smashville BGM: Animal Crossing - Title Theme
* Castle Siege BGM: (Some sort of FE battle medley)
* Temple BGM: Temple (same as in Melee)
Post 328:
* AT: Some sort of pink rabbit with a drill...probably Jill from Drill Dozer
* AT: Some FE character with a sword
* Pokeball: Latios (and Latias)
* Pokeball: Metagross (does Earthquake)
Post 635:
* AT: Sothe (when he appears, he calls out to Ike, his leader, swearing to beat the opponent)
* Pokeball: Pachirisu (releases a flurry of hearts that immobilizes opponents...probably Charm or Sweet Kiss)
Post 266:
* Seems as though Kirby has been overall improved.
* His aerial Hammer is two consecutive hits--much different from its Melee counterpart.
* The reach of the Hammer, both on the ground and in the air, has been slightly diminished.
* The poster felt that the reach of Final Cutter was also reduced a little.
* Kirby's Stone does not last quite as long as in Melee.
Coro Coro Magazine
King Dedede's Neutral Special is called "Suck Up"
Kirby's neutral Special is listed as the same thing.
Wario's Up Special is called "Corkscrew".
The hidden charcters are unlocked on one of three ways: By clearing the special modes, clocking in game time, and by playing matches.
Zelda's Final Smash is the "Light Arrow" It delivers massive damage to whoever is line up with the shot horizonatally.
Zelda's Down Special is not shown on her CoroCoro Card. All specials are listed for every other character, except Zelda. Her previously known three specials are confirmed. I think this pretty much confirms Shiek anyway.
Charizard's Up Special is "Fly". Aeris and I were very sure on this, but didn't want to post it because we wanted to wait for a 100% confirmation.
Regarding how to unlock characters: Based on what we have recieved, I personally believe that every character is available via a game mode. SSE, Event Mode, Break the Targets, Multi-Man Brawl, ect. Then, just like in Melee, there are other options to obtain the charcters after X amount of matches or X amount of time played.
We have Ivysaur's Side Special Attack! It's Razor Leaf. Here is a translation of his specials:
Special: Seed Machine Gun (Bullet Seed)
Up Special: Vine Whip
Side Special: Leaf Cutter AKA RAZOR LEAF
Down Special: Pokemon Change
We now have Squirtle's Neutral Special Attack! It's Water Gun.
Few of you may have already seen Zero Suit Samus perform her Down Special in videos, but we've translated the official name of it: "Flip Jump". I think in English it would be switched around to "Jump Flip", but who knows.
Zelda's Final Smash has been leaked. Her Final Smash is the Light Arrow. The reason we know this is not her B move is because the background around her is dark and she has the "Final Smash aura" around her entire body and bow. This means the move is not a special move. As said in a previous update, we wouldn't be reporting on any of the leak stories unless we had confirmation, but this seems like its real.
Zelda's three of Zelda's four specials are listed on the front of the card as "Din's Fire, Nayru's 's Love, and Farore's Wind."
We knew they would be, but some people still had doubts. In the February issue of CoroCoro, a translation says "Sonic and Snake: Hidden Characters". So for anyone having doubts, there is is officially.
Zelda Final Smash Clear Image:
Whobby
Assist Trophies don't spawn very often.
Squirtle victory pose: Squirtle runs from in front of the camera, spins around PT and does a victory pose with his left hand. (peace sign maybe?)
Apparently the person saying that Lucario was a Pokeball also said Luigi was a Pokeball...... So rejoice, whoever wanted Lucario in brawl.
Barbara the Bat as AT. (From the most recent commercial)
Game loading is less than 2 seconds
New Pokemon: Cherimu
When pokemon are thrown out to fight, they make their "cry" sound.
Fox victory pose: Puts hand on hip, is facing sideways and says something (It was unable to be heard)
In PictoChat, there is a part that has lot of arrow pointing up. The characters go flying all over the place and off screen when this part of the stage is present.
From watching, there is no evidence of stamina being incorporated into battle with the Pokemon.
PictoChat crates are the "Gift Crates" theme.
PT defeat/loss quotes from results screen (poorly translated): "My Pokemon's loss is my loss.", and "I credit my Pokemon." Since he's not clapping, at least he credits them for victory and shares defeat with them.
Unconfirmed: Pokemont Trainer does not clap, but his Pokemon used does?
Gourmet Race Music (Smash 64's Dreamland stage music) for Halberd Stage.
Unconfirmed: Pokemon Trainer does not clap after defeat. He lowers his head in shame.
Dash Crouch Cancelling has changed somehow.
Ike just owned some Charizard. - (Phrase copyrighted by Brawl Central)
Dedede Impressions: He cannot move during his Final Smash. One of his victory poses his him leaning on his hammer.
All three of BC's translators are unavailable ATM. One will be off work in 20 minutes. The info may not be perfect until then.
Possible photos being taken.
DK is basically the same.
SSE movie being shown. Unknown if it's new or old.
The end of Link's Spin attack is lacking power
Black Squirtle with Blue Pokemon trainer
90 minute playing delay.
Pokemon Trainer poses with his last used Pokemon during the results screen.
Two reports of a black Charizard.
8 Units set up. 30 min wait to play.
~~~All the below information is from the previous event. Impressions above this line are new.~~~~~
PT Impressions: Ivysaur's jumps are quick, but short. Squirtle's Side Special (Withdraw) is useful and quick, but easy to SD with. Charizard is not good for FFA according to one person.
The Beam sword is much longer than expected.
Link tried to FS an opponent who had a Starman and it failed. One time during Kirby's FS, Starmen were launched from the pot. The enemies used the Starmen and ended up KO'ing Kirby.
4:00am Central: No more updates for now. Sleepy time.
Waddle Dees are better than turnips in terms of knockback and damage. Dedede's Suction spits out fast, but not very far and has low damage.
Samus cannot missle cancel. Peach can float cancel.
More reports of Dedede being very slow with fast atacks, but a conflicting report of his Waddle Dees being useful and spammable.
More PT Impressions: Charizard's has multiple jumps and his Fly is powerful. He flies straight up and burns anything around him. His flamethrower is identical to Bowser's Fire Breath. Squirtle's Water Gun is chargable. Ivysaur is immobile while using Bullet Seed. PT's FInal Smash is very powerful.
The PictoChat stage sometimes has impenetrable walls and can trap you on a side of the stage.
DK's Final Smash used correctly can take up 90% of a stage. His FS was originally thought to be ineffective.
Some people worry that the Smash Ball occurs too much.
Rumors of Black Charizard. Some suggest a very dark Chrarizard that is near-black.
PT Impressions: Squirtle has fast attacks, but no reach. Ivysaur is the more balanced of the Pokemon. Charizard is heavy, medium speed, and attacks using claws and tail mostly.
Pokemon trainer's starting Pokemon is random. So far, it's unconfirmed if the starter can be selectable like Shiek was for Zelda in Melee.
Dragoon does 42% damage. It KO'd Mario at 0%.
Lots of Invincibility frames when switching Pokemon.
Dedede's Suction is beastly because of it's force and strength.
Ike is being called a noob killer. His Side Special charged can KO Kirby and Meta Knight at 35%. He is being called "too powerful".
Meta Knight is a good beginner character.
Ashley Deconfirmed! She appears in the WarioWare stage. So does 9-Volt and Jimmy.
Kirby Impressions: Final Cutter has been changed once again. It's different than 64 and Melee.
Attendee's Opinion: Pictochat music was bothering.
Dedede Impressions: Attacks are fast, but hammer is sluggish. As stated before, his Up SPecial has good knockback, but is completely vertical, like Ike's.
Pokemon Trainer Impressions: Takes about three seconds to change Pokemon. Colors: Red, Green, Blue, and Black & White (original GB version). PT's Pokemon do not have accessories like hats, glasses, ect.
First reports of an attendee: He writes about Samus, but adds nothing new to what we already knew. You can't turn into ZSamus at the start of the match at all.
Now that the event is over, expect lots of media, and some new info to be posted from attendees.
We have the Stage Select Screen.(Look at bottom of post for image)
Conflicting News: Apparently, a Nintendo rep has confirmed that Brawl is coming out on the 24th in Japan, however the Brawl pamphlets handed out show the price of the game, but no release date.
Muddy Mole is an assist trophy. (Not Monty Mole) Muddy Mole is a character from "Mole Mania", a GB game that Sakurai adores.
People are under the impression that Meta Knight is very good and Dedede is not. (This is only first impressions that are hours old, keep in mind)
King Dedede has the same voice as his anime counterpart.(Japanese voice. Not 4kids voice)
There is some talk of some stage debut? We are unsure what it is refering to. (translations in process) Turned out to be nothing.
70-80 minute wait to play a match.
UPDATE: Female Pokemon Trainer news is confirmed FALSE.
The Female Pokemon Trainer is said to be a female version of "Red". We also hear reports of black Charizard (unconfirmed)
We are getting multiple reports of a FEMALE POKEMON TRAINER as an alternate costume for PT.
Ike Victory Pose: "I only fight for those I protect" (May be off due to translation issues)
Onett impressions: Virtually no changes made. (exept Ness in the background, just kidding )
PictoChat impressions: Some are negative, some are "better than expected."
PLAYABLE STAGES:Battlefield, Battleship Halbred, Norfair, Hyrule Temple, Onett, WarioWare, PictoChat, Bridge of Eldin, Delfino Plaza, Yoshi's Story, Smashville, Castle Seige, Pokemon Stadium 2, Skyworld, Space Armada, Lylat Cruise
Dragoon was seen as an item. There are also a few new items such as a time bomb and spike bomb.
Onett and PictoChat are playable stages.
Classic Controller and Wiimote are available controller choices.
Meta Knight: No strong attacks. He's the kind of character that relies on multiple hits. FS is very strong and has a wide hitbox. Not much use for gliding. Taunt: Flaps his wings and does a "warp" or some sort.
Diddy Kong: He's very fast and can 'put hurt on you."
NO MORE DELAYS: According to someone to who asked a Nintendo rep there: Brawl is confirmed to be released on the 24th. (Japan)
Pokemon Trainer disappears on certain stages. He was not present on Delfino Plaza.
New Pokemon: Shaymin
UNCONFIRMED: Pokemon trainer's starting appearance is him running to a stop and taunting.
Item Selection is ON. Smash Balls can be turned off.
King Dedede has a pink costume.
Dedede is a heavy, slow, powerful character. He has 4 mid-air jumps (5 total jumps). His Waddle Dee throwing attack is weak. His Up Special has good knockback.
Dedede's starting appearance is the Waddle Dee Shrine seen on the Dojo.
Pokemon Trainer and King Dedede Playable! They appear as "Dedede" and "P. Trainer"
Confirmed: The Brawl game available is a demo, however, it is a new one.
Confirmed: Photography IS allowed, but only in certain areas.
More Whobby Things!
Ivysaur's jumps were quick but small.
* Charizard didn't fare so well in FFA; he requires practice.
* Squirtle's Withdraw attack was quick but "self-destructive." (Not quite sure what that one means.
Post 519:
* The range of the Beam Sword was "longer than imagined."
Post 527:
* Dragoon was reconfirmed, but the user missed the shot.
* Sounds like the screen goes a little askew when Dragoon is put into play.
Post 107:
* A Nintendo rep reconfirmed that, yes, Brawl WILL be released in Japan on the 24th.
Post 237:
* Reconfirmation of "Theme of Samus Aran - Galactic Warrior" as a Norfair BGM.
Post 502:
* Dedede's voice was the same as in the Japanese anime. (Personally, I would be a little miffed if we got that Southern drawl from the U.S. version of the anime in Brawl.)
Post 301:
* Sounds like edgeguarding is the only purpose that F.L.U.D.D. will serve.
Post 537:
* When PT wins, the trainer himself is absent; the last-used Pokemon appears on the victory screen in his stead.
Post 229:
* Battlefield BGM: SSBB Theme (difficult to hear because he only caught 15 seconds or so)
* Battleship Halberd BGM: Gourmet Race
* WarioWare BGM: WarioWare Inc. - Title Theme
* Delfino Plaza BGM: Delfino Plaza
* Smashville BGM: Animal Crossing - Title Theme
* Castle Siege BGM: (Some sort of FE battle medley)
* Temple BGM: Temple (same as in Melee)
Post 328:
* AT: Some sort of pink rabbit with a drill...probably Jill from Drill Dozer
* AT: Some FE character with a sword
* Pokeball: Latios (and Latias)
* Pokeball: Metagross (does Earthquake)
Post 635:
* AT: Sothe (when he appears, he calls out to Ike, his leader, swearing to beat the opponent)
* Pokeball: Pachirisu (releases a flurry of hearts that immobilizes opponents...probably Charm or Sweet Kiss)
Post 266:
* Seems as though Kirby has been overall improved.
* His aerial Hammer is two consecutive hits--much different from its Melee counterpart.
* The reach of the Hammer, both on the ground and in the air, has been slightly diminished.
* The poster felt that the reach of Final Cutter was also reduced a little.
* Kirby's Stone does not last quite as long as in Melee.

Coro Coro Magazine
King Dedede's Neutral Special is called "Suck Up"
Kirby's neutral Special is listed as the same thing.
Wario's Up Special is called "Corkscrew".
The hidden charcters are unlocked on one of three ways: By clearing the special modes, clocking in game time, and by playing matches.
Zelda's Final Smash is the "Light Arrow" It delivers massive damage to whoever is line up with the shot horizonatally.
Zelda's Down Special is not shown on her CoroCoro Card. All specials are listed for every other character, except Zelda. Her previously known three specials are confirmed. I think this pretty much confirms Shiek anyway.
Charizard's Up Special is "Fly". Aeris and I were very sure on this, but didn't want to post it because we wanted to wait for a 100% confirmation.
Regarding how to unlock characters: Based on what we have recieved, I personally believe that every character is available via a game mode. SSE, Event Mode, Break the Targets, Multi-Man Brawl, ect. Then, just like in Melee, there are other options to obtain the charcters after X amount of matches or X amount of time played.
We have Ivysaur's Side Special Attack! It's Razor Leaf. Here is a translation of his specials:
Special: Seed Machine Gun (Bullet Seed)
Up Special: Vine Whip
Side Special: Leaf Cutter AKA RAZOR LEAF
Down Special: Pokemon Change
We now have Squirtle's Neutral Special Attack! It's Water Gun.
Few of you may have already seen Zero Suit Samus perform her Down Special in videos, but we've translated the official name of it: "Flip Jump". I think in English it would be switched around to "Jump Flip", but who knows.
Zelda's Final Smash has been leaked. Her Final Smash is the Light Arrow. The reason we know this is not her B move is because the background around her is dark and she has the "Final Smash aura" around her entire body and bow. This means the move is not a special move. As said in a previous update, we wouldn't be reporting on any of the leak stories unless we had confirmation, but this seems like its real.
Zelda's three of Zelda's four specials are listed on the front of the card as "Din's Fire, Nayru's 's Love, and Farore's Wind."
We knew they would be, but some people still had doubts. In the February issue of CoroCoro, a translation says "Sonic and Snake: Hidden Characters". So for anyone having doubts, there is is officially.
