I'm happy to she Sheik back. I did wonder if they might replace her with Tetra, but I guess the game has enough sword fighters already. Anyway, Sheik's new look is pretty cool.

Also, WW Link is a trophy now, so his chances are kind of shot. From where did that info came from??? It's on a new video posted on the official Japanese Wii website. Also, the Oss! Tatakae! Ouenden! cheerleaders are a trophy! Wheee! OSS!!

I like this new look. Nice to see Sheik return! She was fun to play as in Melee, so I can safely guess that she'll be fun in Brawl, too.

Ok. this is just freaky. No, i'm not saying i'm scared of Shiek, but as I was going to the Dojo, I was thinking "Man, wouldnt it be sweet if to make up for this delay they gave us a new character every week! Fat chance though."
And then I check the Dojo, and theres Shiek! On the same day of the week we got Olimar LAST WEEK! Think this means we get a new character every week?

The Link trophy is something like "Normal Clothes Link" from what I read on SWF. So it's like "Vacuum Luigi" or "Samus Unmasked" Y'know, I was really upset because Ganondorf was going to get the stupid boar thing for a FS. But if he also gets a TP-style "Pig Ganon" that would rock my socks. I just want Ganondorf to do a Giga Bowser and start swinging his trident to smoke the competition.

It's interesting that TLoZ characters are themed according to one recent game but also are given small things from past games, just like this Sheik and the boomerang for the adult Hero of Time from N64 SSB. And this way they preserved the duality of stats of Princess Zelda many people were used to.
And yeah, I think it's possible for the bipedal Ganon to be his Final Smash if you're not so strict with using only things from Twilight Princess. That boar Ganon was apparently made only to use that technique you learned to do to block ramming animals at Ordon Village.

Now I'm disappointed that Shiek didn't make it into Twilight Princess.

Okay. Where are all the people who said "Sheik wasn't in Twilight Princess and Zelda is from Twilight Princess in Smash so there cannot be Sheik"? Because I think a "booya" is in order.

Purlo for Brawl!!!!!!!!!!! LOL!!!!!
Sheik really surprised me. I honestly thought Sheik wouldn't be in as Zelda in Brawl is from TP and Sheik wasn't in TP. But Sakurai surprised me with how he actually scrapped Sheik's concept art for TP during TP's development and used it for Brawl.

I guess I was one. This is so mixed, even the trophy will probably repeat "Sheik was not present in Twilight Princess, but she embodies the legacy of the Sheikah, a race whose only survivor lives somewhere in the Lanayru province of Hyrule" or something like that. Not like it's bad for Brawl, though. It's the third character that has widely opened my mind after Solid Snake and Pokémon Trainer, in that order. For all we know, this model could even influence a future remake of Twilight Princess and be included in some FMV.

Also, WW Link is a trophy now, so his chances are kind of shot. I guess the Strikers Charged trophy kills Mario's chances too, then. OWAIT But there is also Paper Mario and Vacume Luigi. You could probably argue the same thing for WW Link, but there is also the whole TP thing. I think you could argue that he has a chance, but I think the trophy works more against him them for. Also, there should have been Tingle in TP.

If anything, this works in favour of a playable WW Link. If he wasn't in, why bother showing us a trophy of him in an unusual outfit rather than in his regular clothes? But y'know... trophies don't really deconfirm anything. Every playable character in Melee had one trophy which didn't use their Melee model.

But y'know... trophies don't really deconfirm anything. Every playable character in Melee had one trophy which didn't use their Melee model. Trophies have always dis confirmed characters. It only works if it's the classic trophy, but they might not have those (have not seen them for a single character). Normally, a trophy is the in-game model used for the character. So if they don't have that, chances are they aren't in the game. It can work against him[WW Link] becuase it "Regular clothes Link" so it's an alternate for Link, who is in Brawl. Plus, why would he show a trophy for a hidden character early, when he's never given hints. But like I said, it can go either way. I'm thinking it lowers his chances, but you can make an argument either way.
