It can work against him[WW Link] becuase it "Regular clothes Link" so it's an alternate for Link, who is in Brawl. In that case wouldn't it be his outfit from the beginning of Twilight Princess? That's a regular clothes alternate for TP Link. Why give us a Wind Waker Link trophy that isn't regular Wind Waker Link? Are there going to be several trophies of single characters who don't even appear? It seems unlikely. I know I certainly don't want a trophy of every outfit Waluigi has ever worn.

Wouldn't the name WW Link seem awkward? Probably part of the naming. As far as giving us a WW trophy, it gives them something different to add rather then give typical Link, he may feel like doing it this way. But I think you answered your own question with " Are there going to be several trophies of single characters who don't even appear?" Why add both the regula cloth and the "regular" clothes and kill two birds with one stone. But like I said, it can go either way. I personally think it disconfirmes him, but you can argue the other side just as well.

He could still be named Young Link but looks like Wind Waker Link. WW Link could even be considered a veteran that got the WW treatment as opposed to the TP treatment.

Also, there should have been Tingle in TP. This also says: Tingle for BRAWL!! A rose y rupeeland by any other name would smell just as sweet.

Most people's arguments for the deconfirmation via trophy stem from the fact that WW Link hasn't been shown as a character, and its doubtful he'd be announced through a trophy like that. Its not that the trophy deconfirms him; its that he would be announced or the trophy not shown. Hope that makes more sense.

Deconfirmation via trophy is a faulty means to a desired end; how many trophies of Mario were there that didn't involve his Melee graphics in SSBM? Tons, that's what; the same goes for every other playable character (some more than others). I'd wait until Sakurai actually said "Young Link won't be in Brawl" before claiming a trophy means anything more than the fact that there's such a trophy in the game.
Oh yes, this is also the first Zelda-specific update we've had since Link's Special Moves back on August 20th last year.

I'd also like to point out that Sheik's booty is almost as toned as Snake's...

Thanks Fry, just saw the video ;D, I dont think a trophy can 100% deconfirm a character, so I still got hopes for Tingle and WW Link.
It seems like Sheik will live forever thanks to Smash games... Why didnt Tetra had that luck!
