The game is very very close to being out. It's only natural for the roster to be revealed now. So this COULD be it. Is it really that bad?
I honestly doubt very much that ROB64 is the character they meant... it's most likely ROB the Robotic operating buddy. The one that was playable in Mariokart if you remember.
Here we have a game that is promising seventeen newcomers (double the normal amount you get in a fighting game sequel, more than the amount you get in a new series) and returning faces of many people you thought were gone. Sup Ness.
Is it unfortunate for Geno, Krystal, Ridley and the rest... sure it is. Maybe they'll be assist trophies and hang out with Garoh, Lyn and Little mac and the rest of the guys that could have been playable but aren't. You'll get over them.
Sounds like a pretty good deal to me. Yeah, I would have liked another 3rd party character to compliment the other 2. I would have liked Ridley. But the game has already shown me lots of originality and creativity.... and I can't wait to play it! To all you sulking your heads about this roster.... SUCK IT UP!!! Don't be disgraceful.... don't be babies about it... don't make yourselves look foolish.... was Melee's roster perfect? Far from it. But once the game was released, it didn't matter.

oh wait I jsut got something in my eye. Anyway, you are right NinjaRygar, it is an okay roster just...R.O.B what the heck. But then again Mr Gmae & Watch...what the...Ness....whoo. 
It isn't that bad since how hard Sakurai has been working on this game.
