The Gamecube one. (So see? I don't ALWAYS look for the developer and say something is good because someone developed it!)

Mario Kart 64 is mine as I feel that having 2 players in 1 vehicle spoils the Mario Kart experience.

Oooh, this is a TOUGH one. I love them all. Even Double Dash.
Gah, I can't choose.

I'm still partial to the course design of the SNES edition.

Back when one of my friends still had an N64, we played Mario Kart 64 once... I loved it, especially that circuit on a highway (I believe it's called Toad's Highway, but I'm too lazy to look it up). I only played the game for a short while (same goes for Super Mario Kart, haven't played the others), but I'd have to say that one's my favourite.

Mario Kart 64. The Battle Mode courses in Double Dash were terrible. Nothing compared to Block Fort or Double Deck from 64.

Good ol' Super Mario Kart - the original and still the best.
I love all of them, though - 64 had great battle modes, SC had great tracks (not just because there were so many, but because what was there was well designed) and DD had some great weapons.
But Super has to win for its originality, its collness and the fact it has Koopa. I love Wario as a character, but when it comes to Mario Karting, Koopa > Anybody. Glad he was back in DD, though I would like to see him return in single kart form - and, as far as I know, he does in MKAGP, and I'm hoping he also does in DS.

Does anybody know why nintendo replaced Kamek with Wario in MK64?

I'm not sure - maybe because Wario was gaining more popularity by the time it was in final stages? (I'd imagine that characters would have been chosen at the very beginning of the development cycle)

Mario Kart 64!
I never had the SNES instalment, and I remember playing MK64 forr hours upon hours, upong days, upon weeks with my friends back inlate primary school and early highschool.
Great stuff!
The DD was good fun too, but didn't do it as much for me, and considering my favourite mode was Battle Mode, DD didn't come close to 64 in that respect.
I haven't played the GBA one much, but I do have it...

It's either SMK or DD!!
And SMK wins, thanks to the nostalgia factor.

I liked Mario Kart 64 because both the graphics and music was good
