Mario Bros. Speaking frankly, this stage throws all the basic rules of Smash out the window! Oho! Now THAT’S a faithful recreation! Low ceilings over most areas of the stage make standard KOs much more difficult. See? Like I said, normal KOs are tough to get here. So, you’ll just have to use the creatures wandering around the stage to do your dirty work. Here’s a Shellcreeper and a Sidestepper. You can flip them on their backs by attacking them or by giving them a bump from below. Flop. Once they’re upside down, grab ‘em and chuck ‘em at someone. If they hit an opponent, he or she will fly directly sideways! Whoa there! Look how it sends ‘em flying! You’ll spend a lot of time taking flying Shellcreepers to the face and getting smacked by Sidesteppers roaming the stage.
The play style here is completely different from the variety you’ll find on all other stages, so look forward to something new.

I'm dissapointed Fighter Flies aren't in it. I wonder if the POW! block is just for show? Or if you can't hurt you opponent by jumping under them? I look forward to this stage! And thank you Sakurai for not making this a long or double update!

Flop.
This stage looks rad, play-wise and graphic-wise. And yeah, you can probably use the POW! block by jumping under it or just punching it. Just like in N64 smash.

Oh that's awesome! I never even noticed those critters showed up, nonetheless notice that you can throw them.

This stage is sooo cool. I've wanted a stage based on this in Smash for so long.
I'm disappointed that there aren't any Fighter Flies as well. And that there aren't any fireballs suddenly appearing at the sides of the stage either.
Personally, I think that this will be my most played on stage.

The POW just effects the wandering enemies.
But yeah, I wonder if jumping under another player will hurt them at all. That would be cool.

There are also rolling eggs in this stage, and the monsters appear in 3 different colors, showing the level of speed and strength.

I've seen this stage in a couple of videos prior to this update and I have to say it looks a very fun stage to play. Great that the stage is so interactive. Maybe if you jump under another player they will fall over like with the banana peel

I think this stage is going to be pretty cool. I remember kicking some butt in the Mario Bros. minigame from Super Mario Bros. 3.

There ARE fireballs in this stage, but still not Fighter Flies. It looked really fun in gameplay videos.
If I'm not mistaken, it's the joint Mario/ROB stage. ROB uses it in All-Star Mode, but the Mario characters pop up on it in Classic. The music choices are basically the entire selection of Famicom music, so anything from the Medley to the Mario Bros. theme to Gyromite to Dr. Mario.

I can't vouch for classic mode, but I know for a fact ROB uses it. The music is awesome too. Shin Onigashima is awesome!

I was so excited to see this stage. I had this in mind when I was working on my Nintendo Vs. Capcom design for Luigi's stage, so I am certainly am looking forward to playing it.

Is that how you're supposed to KO people here? Throwing the enemies at them? One way to own people here though, is to tell them that it works just like in the original game, when it comes to the sides of the screen. I was so excited to see this stage. I had this in mind when I was working on my Nintendo Vs. Capcom design for Luigi's stage, so I am certainly am looking forward to playing it. Nintendo vs Capcom? You've got an idea like this going before? Elaborate, or something.

Aye, that I did. I've stopped working on it last year to work on my own personal projects rather than tackling ones that have little to no chance of happening. I don't have the ability to pull up my file of my design on my new PC, but basically I had Mario Bros. in mind when I picked Luigi's stage. It was going to be a lot like this, but the enemies were going to be invincible unless you hit them from underneath (and I had Fighter Flies in it), and you couldn't throw them at opponents (which is quite clever). Sakurai took it a lot farther than I did, so I'm excited about playing it. ^_^

I don't see any problem with wishing or hoping for something to happen, let alone even imagining the goddamned possibilities it would have to offer if so.
