Falco Falco is a pilot from the Star Fox series. He’s a cool customer who likes doing things his own way.
He has the best initial jump of all the characters, and he likes shooting his Blaster as he leaps about. Falco's Special Moves Standard Special Move Blaster Side Special Move Falco Phantasm Up Special Move Fire Bird Down Special Move Reflector Final Smash Landmaster Tips Be aware—Falco’s moves have changed a lot since he appeared in Super Smash Bros. Melee. The spinning 100-slash attack! Falco’s smash attack looks like it could take an ear off!! <Side Special Move: Falco Phantasm>
A pretty scary move depending on how you use it. Slice! Just like a meteor! If you do this move too much, though, you’re headed for self-destruction, so use it with care.
Instead, maybe you might want to use your down midair attack for meteor smashes? <Down Special Move: Reflector> The Reflector reflects enemy projectile weapons. You kick it away from you to turn it into an attack. Kick! It doesn’t have much offensive power, but it can be good for containing an enemy’s attack. Of course it also eliminates enemy projectiles. <Final Smash: Landmaster> Since Falco’s element is more in the sky, his Landmaster is not as powerful as Fox’s. Its maneuverability on land also is a little bit lacking.
However, its flight ability more than makes up for its other shortcomings. Give a lift to your opponents when they have nowhere left to run... Then take them off the screen!! There’s no way for your enemies to hurt the Landmaster while it’s on screen, so don’t worry and let her rip!

Huh. I guess the 100 Man Melee Brawl still unlocks him. Might end up unlocking him first.

It lokks like they've actually put some thought into his moveset this time. And I like the way that they've (slightly) luigified his moveset as well.

Falco was my character of choice in Melee; it'll be interesting to see how well I do with him with his Luigified moveset (his A-moves look the most different).

I dislike you and your crappy float you off screen final smash that my friend seems to love, Falco. Get back into your crappy star fox series and leave me alone.

Well, I guess it's a bit of an improvement. I imagine Sakurai is in a tough spot when he was to decide how much to change a previous character's move set. Too much and people who liked them before complains. Too little and everyone else complains.

Too bad Tei wasn't here to see this. He'd be creaming his pants about now.
At least the Landmaster handling differently is a decent nod to the Star Fox series. I can only imagine what Wolf's Landmaster does differently.

Ya breakin' my ♥, Dancey D: C'mon, now.
Anyway - hooray, Falco update! He looks fantastic as always. I've seen him in action through various videos and I'm interested to take him for a spin. It'll be refreshing, since I've been playing as Falco pretty much constantly ever since Melee came out. I'm not very upset at all about this, but then again, I don't smoke at tournaments ;D.
It's also great to hear that his Landmaster is different from the others; I kind of predicted this would happen, after seeing the "All Final Smashes" video where he boosted Fox off the top of the screen, and it means that Falco's Landmaster will be actually useful on stages like Jungle Climb or Big Blue. His ground maneuverability being lackluster is a nice throw to Star Fox Assault, wherein the same is also very true. (This also means that Wolf's Landmaster is also probably different; I imagine his is more offensively oriented and heavier than Fox or Falco's.)
I imagine I know the order of which we'll see characters announced on the Dojo from now on. So, spoilers on how things are unlocked and who's gonna crop up next:
Each Hidden character has appeared in order of how many Brawl matches are required to unlock them. Ness, Marth, Luigi and Falco appear at 5, 10, 22 and 50 matches each; a little bit of further research yields that Wolf is the last character to be unlocked at 450 Brawls. Brawl Central has the complete list up, but knowing putting the URL down will break the spoilertag, it's kind of a moot point to post the link. Here's how it'd boil down, eventually:
Ness (5 Brawls) Marth (10 Brawls) Luigi (22 Brawls) Falco (50 Brawls) Captain Falcon (70 Brawls) Lucario (100 Brawls) Snake (130 Brawls) ROB (160 Brawls) Ganondorf (200 Brawls) Mr. Game & Watch (250 Brawls) Sonic (300 Brawls) Jigglypuff (350 Brawls) Toon Link (400 Brawls) Wolf (450 Brawls)
So given this, we should finally have our PUNCH before next week is out (which will be refreshing), and we'll see our first Hidden Newcomer by the week after that. Hopefully.

Ya breakin' my ♥, Dancey D: C'mon, now. You go tell my friend to stop being an asshat and using that damn blast-up-with-me-on-top move and I'll reconsider loving Falco. Maybe. As for the characters, they seem to be creeping up in the week - next one a Tuesday?

For Tei-sama's opinion, I wasn't really expecting that Falco came but I'm pretty satisfied that some his me lee attacks changed. Falco looks more rad than before. Too bad we can't use this costume www.cubeye.it/public/images/Falco_Lombardi.jpg Tei wrote: Falco's Landmaster will be actually useful on stages like Jungle Climb or Big Blue. Hey, That's true

As for the characters, they seem to be creeping up in the week - next one a Tuesday? well, since the updates are only going to last another month or so, we're going to get at least a few weeks with more than one character reveal if he's going to fit everything in. math demands it!

Yeah, and you should tell Samus to stop using that shoot-me-with-a-big-giant-lazer move. Oh wait. That's the point of her final smash. *hint* Yeah, that's an awesome costume. ^_^
