When she’s wearing her Power Suit, Samus is actually quite agile. She’s also very easy to control in the air. So she must be able to perform a lot of good midair moves, right? When doing a forward midair attack, Samus can get consecutive hits. Her back midair attack, the flying back kick, is quite strong if you get a clean hit. Samus’s down midair attack is a meteor smash. You can even use the grapple beam in midair!! But, she doesn’t have any moves that launch foes upward...and that makes stages like Shadow Moses Island a little difficult. <Side Special Move: Missile>
You can use two types of Missiles. The normal Missile is a guided projectile. The Super Missile flies straight ahead. The normal Missile will home in on enemies, but the Super Missile has more speed and destructive power.
To launch the Super Missile, do a side smash move and hold the special-move button. If you’re using the Wii Remote held sideways, press and hold the 1 Button and the direction. <Standard Special Move: Charge Shot> If you’re going to use Samus, you can’t forget the Charge Shot. Just keep your cool and charge up the shot. Charge up! If things get dangerous, you can always save your charge with the shield button. Even if you’re fully charged, you don’t have to use it immediately! Shoot someone who has a lot of damage! Mario, Fox, Zelda, Pit, Lucas, and the like should watch Samus carefully. If there’s a chance, those characters should try to reflect or absorb these attacks. The End!

Ordinarily, I'd post some smarmy comment about Veteran move updates, but I didn't know about the Super Missile change. I knew she had Super Missiles now, but I thought it was just an aesthetic change. Glad its not!

Finally, we get t see "Smash B" attacks. Melee called the side speial moves "Smash B" which were incorrect - and perfectly shows how NOAers lack basic knowlege of SSB!
There should be more characters who an do the reflection... say, Ike can use Counter (down B) if he's close enough to Samus to launch her up!

Ike using Counter on a Charge Shot? I vote no, sorry. :/
So, you'll have to Guard now to do the charge-saving-roll? That's new, isn't it? Used to just be hitting a direction, as I recall it.

I think it's good that Samus now has access to super missiles. Her normal missiles aren't really up to much and in melee I just used her charge shot most of the time.

@ Neko: No, it's not new. Donkey Kong can do it too with his special. I think you could also do it in the 64 version...

It's cool that we know have access to both types of missiles. Samus will be a little unpredictable this way.

Super Missiles in Brawl are worse than Smash Missiles in Melee. Samus is in general much much worse.
I mean, Snake has REMOTE missiles and those can KILL unlike Samus'. I play against a Samus in Brawl and the Charged Shot doesn't kill until 140% or so, and sometimes you can even recover.

Have you actually gotten to play Brawl yet, or are you just basing all that on YouTube videos and speculation? Alons, inquiring minds want to know.

I've played Brawl a lot, we got the 1000 matches message last week, so I've seen almost 1500 games (and I've played around 1000 of them).
My friend was a serious Samus player from Melee. And from serious, I mean in the tourneyfag sense of the word. Samus has lost power in her moves, maneuverability (floatier air game and fast fall is barely fast now), projectiles that hardly can be used to attack as they are so weak (charged shot included) and predictable (can't be cancelled at ground level like before, the missiles simply won't come out), her air killing moves (neutral kick and back kick) have a ridiculous attack window now that's extremely difficult to manage, since crouch cancel isn't in Brawl he can't crouch and "absorb" an attack to counter with one of hers, wavedash is out and her roll is still as punishable so she hasn't many options.
It's not a matter of change of fighting style. Samus can't simply hold her own against most characters now. Maybe new things will be discovered for her.

You think Samus was buffed for the sake of Zero Suit Samus...?

Ah, what I was referring to was that you could hit a direction while charging and just roll and store the charge, I thought he was saying you would have to hit block to do that. I didn't actually realize there was a way to store the charge other than rolling.

I like your remakes of the n64 stages Geng Quick question about the level editor: do you have an infinite amount of blocks you can use? Basically whether or not you can jam a large grid full of tiny blocks, as long as it fits. Or is there a general limit or limit per kind of block (aka no more then 20 triangles)? Sorry for being off topic again.

You can use as many of a piece as you want as long as it fits in the total pieces bar thingo (you know, the red bar at the top). That could be all the same piece if you wish.
