As you play through The Subspace Emissary, you’ll probably become aware of the "Clear %" displayed in the upper part of the screen. This is what I’m talking about. This is what I’m talking about.
This tells you roughly how much of The Subspace Emissary you have completed. Of course, the most you can do is 100%.
When this figure is on display, you just want to keep increasing it more and more, don’t you?
Here’s how to do it. 1. Open All Unopened Doors What I mean is, go everywhere. Enter every place you can, including hidden doors.
However, there may be some places where you may not be able to go everywhere, like in the hidden area on the "Lake" stage. Here we go, a hidden door! You can go between two different worlds! Clear the Stages Of course, this is a big way to increase your clear percentage. Here you take a look at all your stickers and trophies.
3. Get the Orange Cube Items This is an orange cube. These cubes contain valuable items and will not reappear once you get them. Finding the boxes and getting their treasures is another way to increase your clear percentage.
Also, items that are different from orange cubes occasionally appear—these also affect the clear percentage. 4. Get Character Trophies Well, I can’t really go into detail about these... Err... (Ahem!) Obviously though, there’s something important about them. If you’ve got them all by the end, there won’t be any problems.
Once you clear a stage, the map point will get a flag or a crown. Both flags and crowns are proof that you’ve cleared a stage. A flag means that you haven’t gotten all the things listed above for that stage. A crown means that the stage has been completely cleared.
In order to earn a complete victory, try your best to find all the doors and open all the orange cubes! Sometimes you might even feel we were a little mean!

Meh. Boring update.

I dunno. It explains a few things about the SSE. It reminds me of bits of Kirby Super Star. Would have been nice if he'd gone into a bit more detail on that last point rather than saving it for a later update though.

I guess this means I'll have to take my time on it then. No rushing through it like I do with adventure mode in SSBM!
Yay, 1000 posts!

Oh dammit. Now we have to explore. From what I've seen on Youtube, these levels take quite a bit if time...and playing them twice? Or five times? With the same enemies reappearing? No thanks.

So it's pretty much a Kirby platformer.

I can appreciate this update because at least now I have a sense of scale with how SSE works, especially because I aim to get that 100% completion rank. Before, watching YouTube videos of cutscenes and gameplay, the gameplay segments were always kind of intimidating because I didn't know what the player was actually doing a lot of the time, aside from going from point A to point B and fighting the occasional boss/enemy character/barrage of minions battle. This way, I know what I need to shoot for.
And yeah, I can appreciate the KSS feel for this, too.

Isn't the last pic one clue to... Wolf? I heard it's about a hidden exit deep onto a somewhat ruins stage.

It's pretty obvious especially in Melee when they add a Kirby bgm in All-Star Mode.

KSS is probably my favorite Nintendo game, one of my favorite overall games with Final Fantasy IV and Metal Gear Solid (Twin Snakes). I knew KSS was a heavy influence on SSE, but to see so much matter to it makes me smile.
Just please don't be as frustrating as some parts of The Great Cave Offensive, Sakurai. >_<

So it's pretty much a Kirby platformer. Of course! What else would you expect from the creator of Kirby? Personally, Kirby Super Star ranks high on my Favorite Games Ever list*. So, it doesn't really bother me. * There's no actual list, but I do have a number of games I like the most, just never sat down and figured out the order of them.

So it's pretty much a Kirby platformer. Funny addendum: seeing a vid today on youtube, I just saw that Player 2 when playing SSE can Warp to player 1 just like in Kirby Super Star.

That was mentioned on the Dojo, though.
