Well, that's just part of the Dedede strategy. You can only aim the attack part of his recovery (if you were to follow through with the entire thing, for example) right when you execute it; if you aren't gonna make it, you gotta do the mid-air cancel so you actually have steering power. Because of the height he gets with that move and the fact that he has four regular jumps, it's very hard to get KO'ed as him. At least for me, but I've been playing Dedede more than any other character. *shrug*

Well, at least he's less cloney.
LOL @ the sword thing.

Dorfy may be slow but my god is he better than Melee. I used to die constantly but now I feel like I'm landing nice, heavy KOs every match. His specials, including his standard B, are much faster this time around. It's a nice change of pace. And he's humorous to watch fight because he does sound and move like an old dude. When he dies he has this great cry like he's having a heart attack or something As far as the FS, it's that good? Seriously? I hate it with a passion. It's so hard to hit with and it goes far too fast to notice all those little "nuances."

I had a little trouble adjusting to the new Ganondorf at first, but I was relying too heavily on his smash attacks - his regular attacks come out really fast for such a slow character and do a TON of damage. now that I know what he's all about, he's back to being one of my favorite characters again.
