The demon thief Ganondorf has returned! He’s the largest and bulkiest of all human-type characters.
His movement, his attack capability—everything feels weighted. Ganondorf’s attacks land with heavy thunks, which gives him a very unique feel. Ganondorf's Special Moves Standard Special Move Warlock Punch Side Special Move Flame Choke Up Special Move Dark Dive Down Special Move Wizard's Foot Final Smash Beast Ganon
Tips In the last game, Ganondorf appeared with a stout build, so he’s got a middle-aged guy’s body here, as well.
His techniques are rendered with his stoutness in mind—they’re bitter and tough. He runs while panting... "Uff uff uff!" A piercing kick! He blasts the opponent sideways. Down Taunt: Ganondorf draws a sword. He takes out the sword he stole from the six Sages and takes a look at it. ... Then puts it away. What are you putting it away for? Use it! People tend to make fun of Ganondorf for this. <Side Special Move: Flame Choke> On the ground, he grabs the opponent’s head and thumps it down. In the air, he immediately slams the foe earthward! As you end up close to the opponent lying on the ground, neither you nor your foe should let your guard down. Try a follow-up attack, or get up and fight—if not, dodge away from your enemy and unleash your counterattack. It’s relatively easy to make successful standard attacks against bulkier, larger opponents. <Up Special Move: Dark Dive> Jump here... If the opponent stays close, you’ll grab and electrify him. If the opponent is far off, hit him with the Darkness from your hand.
Attacks that burn the opponent like charcoal are classified as "Darkness." If a sticker has a Darkness effect, it refers to any attack that Ganondorf uses to char the opponent. His standard special move Warlock Punch and down special move Wizard’s Foot are also Darkness attacks.
<Final Smash: Beast Ganon> He transforms into a massive demon beast and charges!!
Beyond the fleeting moment of its effect, it’s a visually striking and terrifying attack. Trans...FORM!!! Roarrrrrrrrrr! Charge! The effect lasts only a split second, but what an impact. Whoa.
Those who have used Ganondorf may have noticed this... His roar has the effect of paralyzing enemies who are right in front of him.
This affects only those who are standing on solid ground. If you want to dodge this, I’d suggest using a jump or something to keep your feet off the ground. He can bury opponents as a result of his transformation. Seriously?

Hes the anti-Captain Falcon this time around. Speaking of who, Ganondorf has mostly different A moves and notably different specials now. He's decloned pretty well. Still doesn't make up for the sword tho....

This is one of my favourite Dojo quotes of all time. ;D
Who is still missing from the Melee lineup then?

WHOOOOOOOO! Finally Ganondorf is updated. He looks like he will be my main again. But the sword, why, Sakuari, why? His Artwork is....like Amazing, I love it. And for those who have Brawl, is his final smash good or crap, because I know Pokemon Trainers is crap, I saw in a video it only does 10% damage.

Nice to see that Ganondorf isn't the same as he was is melee. But it's disappointing that he doesn't use his sword to actually fight with. This screenshot reminds me of Darth Vader doing a similar thing at the beginning of Star Wars. Tell me the location of the Rebel Base!

His FS is difficult to time, but does high damage and usually a KO. The line up is similair to Zelda/Sheik's Light Arrow. BTW, PT's is an excellent FS if used right. The opponent has to be right in front of you, and he will get hit by all three beams. This usually does high damage and an instant KO. Done wrong, he'll only get hit by one or two, doing less damage and knock back.

I didn't like Ganondorf in Melee, mainly because of how slow he was. Even though he's still really really slow, I like him a lot more in Brawl. Sakurai did a good job balancing the slow characters with the fast ones. Plus, he seems to have a better recovery.

Yeah.... the funny sword thing. It's official now.
But then... unless you want Brawl to become a swordfighting game, I guess it's good to hide his sword away. And yet... give at least one or two sword modes to him!
Speaking of decloning, I guess the overall decloning have been good. Ness and Lucas, and Fox and Falco (haven't tried Wolf) are only semi-clones now - technically (from programming perspective), not clones at all.

Ganondorf definitely feels much more unique this go-around. His Side B is a different move than C. Falcon's, and his other specials are a little different too. His A attacks are much more varied, and his Final Smash works differently, too. He's still insanely strong, and although slow, he still feels like he can hold his own a little better this time around. And he has an awesome voice, too. Falco and Ness are also different from Fox and Lucas, respectively, so I agree with most of you - the "clones" feel very fresh compared to their origin characters.

Ganondorf is wicked burly in Brawl. He's a lot heavier and harder to knock away; he's slow, but even his simple attacks pack punch to 'em. These screenshots don't really do him justice; just wait till you see him "run" for yourself and you'll get a better idea of how slow he really moves. But that all kind of works to his advantage.
King Dedede is similar; he moves wicked slow too, and his moves have a lot of lag. But all his attacks hurt, and Dedede has the added benefit of greater recovery power.

I've got your nose! Yeah he is sloooooow. And honestly the clones still feel rather cloneish to me.

Yeah he is sloooooow. And honestly the clones still feel rather cloneish to me. Yeah, decloned they might be, but still like semi-clone. At least they aren't from the programming perspective. And sorry for getting off-topic, but where is Old New Spud? King Dedede is similar; he moves wicked slow too, and his moves have a lot of lag. But all his attacks hurt, and Dedede has the added benefit of greater recovery power.Don't think Triple D has good recovery. Aim it wrongly and you're doomed as he can't cling to edges. And I often forget he can cancel this move mid-air.
