Thank you Deadpool, that information will be of great use to me! Glad to hear Fox still lives up to standards, and I dont mind Wolf being a little slower; I love him too much, hehe And since everyone is shrugging...*shrug*

I actually think Peach is better than Melee. She's faster, far as I can tell...

As someone who doesn't care much for Fox's style (I did like Falco more in Melee, and that remains true in Brawl), Wolf is a godsend. As I mentioned in the stickied thread, Wolf may have the "core" specials that Fox and Falco share, but he has his own spin on them. His Blaster is a lot like the Ray Gun, minus the range. It has a bit more power, if I recall. His Side B is awesome, making a great return and a solid attacking option for a small distance - it slashes and does more damage the further you strike someone with it, as well as plowing opponents straight downwards. It adds a nice chunk of strategy with spacing. Its slight rise with its attack makes it a decent return move. His Up+B is vastly different from Fo and Falco's, being a multistrike attack with a powerful kick at the end. It works the same way, but I like this more. And his Reflector is essentially the same, but it looks completely different and has a bit of range. All of his standard and smash attacks are also different from Fox and Falco, too. He uses a ton of claw swipes, and his style is very savage compared to the grace the two Starfox pilots share. Plus, I love his Up taunt. His voice is pretty cool, too. So yeah, I like Wolf a lot. He may have been someone I didn't care about when I first heard of him, but he has really been one of my favorites to play as.

Another advantage I perceive in Peach Blossom is that the camera focuses on Peach and makes faraway players lose track of where they are. At least that has caused trouble to me these days.

One of the eternal Mario questions has no been answered: Do Toads have spores? I applaud Sakurai and Co. for finally answering this wholly inane question. Now, if only we could find out why the hills have eyes.... On a side note, before this update, I thought Toad was spraying steam for some reason. I have to agree with Deadpool in that I'm constantly playing as Newcomers and not the Vets. I still do the Yoshi-thing (though I can't win at ALL with FFAs with him anymore because he just isn't as heavy as he used to be) for the one-player modes, but I keep playing as Olimar, Pit, Wario, Diddy, etc. etc. etc. for VS. I think it's because we had Melee for so long with the same characters it got boring, y'know? What's funny is that, however, some of the de-cloned characters are "new" to me even though I know they aren't. Ganon and Falco, for example, feel totally different and basically like newcomers when thrown in with vets like Link and Mario who have either barely changed or gotten seriously nerfed (FLASH: Mario SUCKS in Brawl).

You're very welcome, Kohta, I'm glad I could help enlighten you! ;D
I've been feeling the worst off with most of the Veterans from the first Smash Bros games; I just don't dig them very much at all, with a few exceptions. I'm good with Donkey Kong but I don't care for him very much, and I like using Pikachu and Luigi - but the rest of the SSB64 cast just doesn't appeal to me very much. This is strange, especially considering how Captain Falcon was my second best in Melee.
Then there's the issue of me not liking most of the Melee veterans to begin with...Peach, Bowser, Zelda, Marth and Ice Climbers are all low points for me. Falco was my best in Melee, and while I wasn't good with Ganondorf I had fun playing him; both being decloned provides a good opportunity for me to expand my range with them. (I have also found that Marth is easier to use this time around.)
So, most of the veterans just don't have appeal to me. This is why I'm really digging the newcomers, since they're a breath of fresh air and it's nice to find new playstyles to try out.

I did pretty much the same thing with Melee though. It wasn't until after getting my ass handed to me by a handful of DKs and Fox McClouds that I went back to trying the originals again.
And hey, I ended up maining Sheik, Jigglypuff and Marth. Who'd have thought Jiggs would end up being my only carry-over?!

I found a bizarre delight in making a punching bag out of Snake while playing as The Puff. But anyway fox and Puffmaster are my two vets Wario DeDeDe Meta and Sonic are my mains.
