Well, I have been waiting for Brawl for......since I heard about it at E3. So it's been a while. Now I know this is crazy....but I am dieing for Brawl. Sereiously. And now I am deciding if I should get the Wii free loader. I have the gamecube one. But when I saw the Wii one I scaned through it's description. I live in Australia, so I have a PAL Wii, obviously. It costs 40$ Australian Dollars, so what will that be, 60 euro or something and....I not sure about the English Pound. But it would be a fare amount of money in the US(or not). So should I get this Free loader? If you don't know what it is(maybe...), it is a disc that you put in your wii, wait for it to load, then insert your disc from another Region and you can play it. (I think) I think brawl is coming out in around June even though we haven't heard anything on the PAL release date.

freeloader + us ssbb probably costs about the same as aus ssbb. If you want it now, and can handle that Nintendo might be arseholes and block the thing, leaving you with a useless freeloader and a useless ssbb, go nuts, buy it.

Better make sure if what you want to do works. I don't know what does the Brawl updater thing could do...

Apparently, the Freeloader and Brawl USUALLY works fine, but I've heard quite a lot of people having problems. Because Brawl is the first dual-layered Wii disc, there have been quite a few problems with importers reading the disc.
And because Brawl isn't officially out here yet, it will cost a fortune to get your Wii fixed up in such a way that it will work.
I highly recommend waiting this one out. There's plenty of games in the meantime. I am dying for Brawl as well, and watching as the world shouts its praises while I have nothing to do but write about it is very hard indeed. But I'm enjoying the soundtrack for now, and clearing some of my other projects (yes, which includes NinDB).

I have a friend and cousin who both play their US Brawl with a Wii Freeloader. Seems to be working fine. Though you first have to pop in the freeloader, get it out, throw it in again, then switch with Brawl, have the system update, pop in freeloader again, then again insert Brawl for it to work the first time. Don't ask me why.
