Alright, so after about a year after Japan gets Darkrai, we do. On May 31 and June 1, Darkrai will be given out at various Toys R Us'.
But I have a question...
How do I get him? I've never done one of these events in my life. Do I do Mystery Gift? (hopefully, so I don't have to actually walk inside...)

I guess Nintendo will add more details as the time draws near? I remember them giving really specific instructions for the Mew and Celebi giveaways.

If it's taken this long to get to america, I wonder when us europeans'll get our hands on Darkrai?
2011/2012 maybe?

Not that much, since it's going to be available in Pokémon Ranger Batonnage, too.
However, the Pokémon given away at Nintendo events are usually contained in special Poké Balls these days.

^ No. Shaymin will be next (for the next Pokemon movie will feature him and Giratina) then Arceus.

Well that's good, because I'm focused on catching them all. I'm even going to trade Pokemon from older versions to Sapphire version to transfer to Diamond.

Apparently, you get something called an 'inn key' in order to be able to get Darkrai. Source here. |

A'ight, so this is happening in about two days.
Does anyone know if I have to walk into Toys R' Us and ask some dude to trade, or can I just sit in my car ad do Mystery Gift...
I'm very confused.

When I went to the Manaphy Event I had to basically stand outside the building/go inside to get the signal. You have to go to a Pokemon Center, save, turn off the game, go back in the Center after you've clicked Mystery Gift and there's a guy there with the item.
I heard that the Darkrai isn't the actual in-game event one, however, because it has Spacial Rend and Roar of Time--you're getting a Darkrai, rather than the item that unlocks the event. Utter bull, imo.
