This month's Nintendo Power has this to say: As we head into summer, expect things to heat up in the pages of Nintendo Power. Julyfs issue will include big updates on Ghostbusters, Sonic Chronicles, and Time Hollow. We may even have a surprise or two. Can you find the clues wefve hidden in the moon? Ghostbusters had 2 movies. The game is Ghostbusters 3 (Bill Murray and the original cast are doing their voices in it).
There is the DS game called Moon as well.

I thought this meant that a MOTHER game was coming to the Virtual Console, or Majora's Mask was.

That gif somehow reminds me of the silly RIDLEY AND CO IN THE SKIES Brawl thing.
I'm guessing it's Majora's Mask coming to the VC.

Well, if it was a new Harvest Moon, that would explain why it was red. So that's almost a no-brainer clue. The moon is quite obviously Sideways BTW. So you could say... Moonside... which is a location in the Mother series. Possibly. Maybe. I dunno... seems like a good idea to me!  |

The Mother series is also the first thing that came to my mind as well. I don't know if that's what I'm supposed to see since were supposed to something hidden in the moon. |

Hm, after slapping various filters to the moon, I'd be inclined to go with the Mother theory. If it was Majora's Mask, there'd be a rather grim expression on the moon, wouldn't you think? But Harvest Moon is also a good choice.
But, there is some similarity between the Mother logo and the moon's craters here, so I'm guessing (hoping?) that that is the case.

I actually can see Megaman's face with helmet in it when it's zoomed out like this  MEGAMAN 3 COMIN' TO VC! ..Probably nothing major anyway, like Earthbound (that's major to me). |
