Naturally, this isn't necessarily real by any means. This is just something I found on Wikipedia, so I'm asking here for your inputs. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_cancelled_Virtual_Boy_gamesApparently they were going to port Donkey Kong Country 2 to the Virtual Boy, but they never did due to failure of the system. It also mentions it on the DKC2 wiki-page. So what are your inputs?

I wish people did their research. If only a few lines of code had been written when the VB was pulled, then DKC2 had already been released on the Super NES.
But I'd love to know what the original source for this information was. It's the first I've heard of it, and I've looked at the VB catalogue quite extensively. Just to clarify, I think it's possibly true (I don't think it would have been a port of DKC2 though - maybe a spinoff like Donkey Kong Land 2).

I thought DKL2 was a scaled down port of DKC2 - after all it has most of the same levels and bosses as DKC2 has.
The only difference is that they merged the second and third worlds from DKC2 in to one world and got rid of the third world boss altogether.

A common misconception. Unlike DKL which had completely different maps, stages and even new enemies, DKL2 largely borrowed maps, bosses, etc. from DKC2 but the levels were completely different.

Yeah on the DKC2 wikipedia page it says it was supposed to be Donkey Kong Land 2-esque, but under the title of 'Country'.
