The island that the jogging game takes place in appears to be the a near exact replica of the island that you could fly around in the E3 06 demo Wii Sports Airplane. It should also be noted that the jogging game was originally designed to be in Wii Sports 2 but since Wii Sports 2 was not/isn't coming out the game was put in Wii Fit instead. I'm afraid you've been beaten to the pinch with the NES Mario graffiti by my sister  Apparently there's another one on the cliff face. The island thing is amazing though! That's pretty much as "Whaaaa?!" as all the WiiSports Golf levels being taken from NES Golf ;D Excellent finds! |

Surely you were both beaten to the punch on the SMB cameos by the fact that it says they're there right on that page in the manual?

Well I didn't really mind not getting the SMB sprites, but I had to point out the near exact island though. You did notice that the source for both these find is from GoNintendo right? I have never played/owned Wii Fit.
Finally is that jogging game in Wii Fit fun? (Because it looks like it).

Anyways, I love that Wii Fit shows us the Mii world beyond Wii Sports/Play and the plaza, if that counts. With the games being connected by cameos such as that. I recall Miyamoto once saying the Mii's were meant to be like the 8-bit sports series characters. Maybe it's all part of a same series? |

Has anyone else been trying to find those graffiti sprites? There's one on the side of the wall that encloses the circular bit of grass that's the start/finish of the short distance run. I'll try and get a screenshot soon. Ummm, that's all I know, cuz I'm not fit enough to even try any of the other distances yet. I tried "long" once and had to lie down  |

Just to shed some light on the issue, no, there are not any other Mario Graffitis in the level - just the one on the cliff and the one on the bridge. I did the Island Lap (and jogged the whole way - not bad for someone as out-of-shape as me!) and kept my eyes peeled, but there weren't any more.
Also, it's hilarious doing the hula-hoop game with Tingle as one of your partners - because then you get to see him do that semi-erotic hula-wiggle dance and it's just so fitting.

Actually, you can take different routes the jogging game by following the dog instead of the trainer. Though I've only done it for the short lap and didn't find any more Mario symbols. I'll try it with the long and Island lap distances, but I won't have time until Friday.

Too bad nobody can pull off a good disaster movie parody today... Disaster Movie was... a disaster! But I'm getting off topic... I did notice they changed the name of the island between regions. My map says "Wii Fit Island Running Map". It makes me want to run around Wii Fit Island... I should do a free run tomorrow. Oh, Wii Fit you've made me exercise! How dare you! |
