...What's the point of seeing faces on screen if the faces are right there?!
Oh Nintendo...

Oh, the Wii U page is up? Awesome! As usual, it's error-hunting time... although there aren't much to look for here. This time I believe I'm in the right thread. Kirby Wii A 2D Kirby game with 3D graphics and multiplayer was first shown in 2004 for the GameCube... The first time I remember seeing Kirby for Nintendo GameCube was in E3 2005.

It must have been shown in 2004, because I used "Kirby GC" in my "games I'm looking forward to in 2005" splash image for New Year 2005. The irony being that only one of the four games on it was released outside of Japan in 2005... Two more came in 2006 and one of them we're still waiting on. It may not have been first shown at E3 2004.

Saw the Metroid Prime Trilogy page, I think it could use some more info/more mention of new features/fixes for MP1/2 - Difficulty curve has been fixed, meaning that you won't get frustratly killed by bosses and such early on (very important for MP2) - Widescreen support - Scan data will carry over to new playthroughs (eg New Game Plus) - Fusion Suit is still in MP1 but has to be purchased using in game tokens. - NES Metroid has been removed (assuming it's still not in the code somewhere and needs to be hacked out to find it or something) - Token system added to purchase unlockables. (Simplified token system from MP3) - Can use Wii Remote to make Morph Ball jump like in MP3 (once Morph Ball bombs have been found, makes double Morph Ball jumps very easy to do). - Some doors "opening/loading" speeds have increased. - May want to mention the metal tin game case for the NA version and the plastic case for PAL owners. Also came with game story/concept art foldout. - And the fact that this was whole thing was limited edition and there was only one print run of the game. EDIT: Game options menu in MP1 used to have a 3D GCN in the middle of the screen, and has now been updated to a 3D Wii. (Does this count as a hardware cameo?)
Also for the Another Code R page, needs the DSi cameo and Wii Remote cameo added (or weren't you delaying the hardware cameos, I can't remember?)

I noticed Fatal Frame 4 was missing from the Wii games/cameo pages, or is it not going to be on the site because it's a Temco franchise being published by Nintendo?

I've been working on a few changes to the game pages, which will probably feed through to the game lists as well. Part of this has been scouring through and making sure I've not missed anything. Fatal Frame IV should at the very least be listed on the game list, even if it doesn't link through to a page. However, in this particular case, there's some cool cameos, so I may give it a page just so I can cover them. I notice that Goldeneye 007 (Wii) and Epic Mickey are being published by Nintendo in Japan. These count as regional licenses, but it's quite odd for these to go from America to Japan. I can usually use the Japanese lists as a base to build the site on, but that's going out the window these days. I'll find a way around it, I'm sure

Both got pretty heavy publicity, and one is essentially a Legacy title for a Nintendo published game, so it sort of makes sense they'd be published by Nintendo in Japan.

It does make sense that they are Nintendo-published there. Activision isn't really a big name there, and that would be a bottleneck for sales of Goldeneye 007. Having Nintendo publish that puts the game at a better odd.
Is that even relevant to NinDB anyway? Non-Nintendo games published by Nintendo in select regions are either listed (Wario Blast, Mario & Sonic series) or unlisted (Mischief Makers, Bomberman 64/Hero, Meteos and so on) depending on whether they, uh, contain Nintendo property, right?

More regional licenses include from North America to Japan are . . .
Red Steel 2 (effective title to show off WiiMotion Plus) Just Dance (maybe JD2 as well) World of Goo.

More regional licenses include from North America to Japan are . . . Red Steel 2 (effective title to show off WiiMotion Plus) Just Dance (maybe JD2 as well) World of Goo. Only World of Goo is correct. Nintendo didn't publish the others. They simply helped to promote them. You're half right. Non-Nintendo games published regionally by Nintendo aren't included on the site... It's just unusual (not unheard of, just unusual) for these games to go from America to Japan rather than the other way round. Especially after the Epic Mickey developer has already closed down! Wario Blast is a special case. The site is full of special cases that cause me various headaches. Mario & Sonic series is an unusual publisher arrangement that probably doesn't happen all that often in the game business, Cubivore is totally a Nintendo game but published third-party in America... It's a bit of a mad website really. So it depends whether or not they get through my brain filter

Especially after the Epic Mickey developer has already closed down! Huh? I don't think Junction Point has closed down. I think they were hit with layoffs earlier this year, but according to their official website, they're now hiring. (Perhaps a new project is in the works? )

Aye, I have quite a bit of info on Hello Kitty World, but slotting it in there has always been a pain. It's more of a side-note to the Balloon Kid page rather than a game page in itself.

I think there may be a game missing from the Virtual Boy section - 3D Tetris. It was developed by T&E Soft however it was published by Nintendo (according to all sources I can find) in the only region in which it was released, North America.
All other T&E Soft Virtual Boy games (Red Alarm, Golf and Vertical Force) were published by themselves in Japan and Nintendo in North America so I know they can't be included on the website, however since 3D Tetris was only released in NA and wasn't released in Japan so I believe it meets the criteria to be included.
