Drat, I was sure they were going to use Opal. Platinum is what they should have named Crystal.
In other news, since when do Pokemon have different forms? I don't remember that happening in Emerald! What's been going on in the Pokemon universe since my last championship? Looks like it's time to start training for a come-back.

Not sure what the form is all about. From the pictures I've seem the pokemon in question is the same.

Supposedly, this new form gives Giratina a different ability, Levitate.
wanderingshadow, Deoxys was the first Pokémon to have different forms (not counting the Unown variations and the battle-exclusive Castform transformations). In Deoxys' case, these alternate forms gave him different stat sets and move sets. The Deoxys in Brawl is "Attack Form Deoxys".

So what can Platnium add that wasn't in D/P?
What I'd like to see... first and foremost.... The ability to travel to other regions and battle their gym leaders. This was a feature in gold/silver, and I think it's time it made a comeback.
I want to be able to travel the entire pokemon world, Sinnoh, Hoenn, Jhoto and Kanto.
They probably won't do that... but it would be sweet. Next thing that could use some improvement.... contests. There should be some sort of point to contests. As of right now... you get nothing but ribbons. There's no real incentive for me to compete in them... so I don't.
Another improvement could be the underground. I like the digging up items and stuff... and making a secret base... but how about making it a REAL base, and not just a room with a bunch of useless furniture in there. Let me put a PC in there at least.
I really can't think of much else that they can improve on. The unfortunate part is, I can't think of anything that they could add to the game to make people actually get excited about it. Basically.... the 1 player game is stale, and most people aren't going to want to play through the same thing again.... and won't bother. They need to add something to the series that will make people WANT to play through Daimond and Pearl again. They'll tweak the storyline.... but how about something epic? How about something unexpected? How about adding something to the gameplay that will keep gamers really coming back to it? This game is the chance to do that... but I doubt it will happen.
It'll just be the same thing again... get a starter... beat easy gyms.... beat the elite 4... stop playing.

Same here. But unfortunately... I was talking about people who don't really get into the competitive scene... and are only interested in the 1P game.

Nice to see you Rygar. How have you been?
I think Pearl/Diamond are weak on the single player. There is more to do after the Elite Four but this is becuase a lot of the game is limited till after it. Ruby and Saphire had a great single player. It's partly becuase they gave you enough pokemon to play with, and enough new ones at that. D/P felt like catching all the old guys.

Gold/Silver had the best Single Player experience, hands down. Especially if you'd played Red/Blue before.

Hey Smashchu... good to see you guys too.
I've been away from the internets for a while... for a few months actually. It's not so bad, but I finally got it and got my wii online and everything... so, you'll see me around here and there.
