It certainly has to do with Ubisoft's licence. Tetris, as you may recall, is licenced to one publisher per region at a time, like how Tetris DS went out of print as soon as Tetris Party was around. Except Japan, where the licences are handled by BPS (or is it TOJ?) and Nintendo, Bandai and SEGA all have their own Tetris games.

BUMP! Euro Eshop users. Less than a week until Tetris is removed and replaced with the new Ubisoft version.
Duck Hunt arrives on the Wii U on December 25th. There should also be some discounts in the eShop starting around Christmas as well including sales of Level 5 games (including the Guild 01 and 02 games). Also last month Pokemon Puzzle Challenge became avalible for purchase. Its been known for a few years now that it also contains a prototype of a Panel De Pon game in it. This is still accessible in the VC version. . Here's a video showing it in action on the 3DS.

Duck Hunt still isn't letting me download it when I try to get it on the eShop. What's going on?
Or what time do they usually go up? Maybe I'm just too early.
EDIT: Ah, there it is. It updates at noon EST.

I got Punch-out. I thought it was a little odd that it was among the first games available in North America alongside big names like Mario and Metroid, but I guess it's because Nintendo considers it a more America-centric franchise. Plus, maybe they want to see if Little Mac's inclusion in Smash Bros has increased interest in the series.
Fingers crossed for Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn, and maybe some European imports, like Disaster: Day of Crisis and Fatal Frame 2.

There's a demo for Code Name: STEAM out on the eShop. Play it, it's good.

The Donkey Kong Country and DK Land games have been back on the Virtual Console and eShop in Europe for a good while now, but they've all just been re-released in North America, as well.
However, what I really wanted to post about was the trailer NoA released for them, which is actually a throwback to the original DKC commercial from the '90s. It even throws in the old "Play it Loud" slogan!
Here's the original:
Not my favorite era of Nintendo advertising, but I enjoyed the nod, nonetheless.

There have been a lot of announcements recently about all the indie games that are coming to the eShop this year, but I just saw that Freedom Planet has been confirmed for the Wii U. This is interesting timing because the game was on sale on GOG this past week as part of their Double Insomnia promo, and I came really close to getting it, but due to one snag or another, I missed it on all three opportunities. Good thing, tho, as I would've kicked myself for getting it on PC right before a Wii U version was announced. Funny how things work out sometimes!

The Australian ratings board has rated Dig Dug II and Hogan's Alley.
Hogan's Alley is another NES Light Gun/Zapper title (like Duck Hunt), so that good to see more Zapper titles coming.
Also Pokemon Rumble World has also been rated.
Also on the PAL eShop Shin Megami Tensai IV is on sale for 43% off.

That's an odd percentage, is that significant to the game?
I hope that we eventually get BattleClash after they're done with the NES games.
